Got these for youth hockey skates. These laces were not waxed and come undone while skating. Have to buy another pair now from somewhere else.

I bought these to put on my Mission Inhaler WM03’s with the expectation that these are waxed but they do not feel waxed and were getting loose throughout a game. I put my old black waxed laces on and they stay tight with no problem. I contacted merchant and they said these laces are the ones NHL pro’s use and isn’t like all other waxed laces. They got that right because they are not waxed laces at all or they don’t act like waxed laces. It’s nice looking but I need them to be functional too. Im sticking to my A&R black waxed laces. Thanks.

Why have I not used waxed laces all these years?I like a tight fitting skate.Nothing worse than wasting time and energy yanking regular laces tight and feeling them slip back loose.These (so far) after about 5 games are still holding very firm when I tighten them, they have very limited slip back.It will be nice to lose the callouses I've built up over the years on the outside edges of my pinky fingers lol.I recommemd these laces. Can't say there aren't others better or worse because these are the only ones I've tried, but I'm veryhappybwith them so far
