Hardware wasn’t the best. Used a bolt with washer for top mounting hole and a good zip tie for the lower. Still holding and looks good

First, let me start be saying the color match looks great. I didn't want to spend Harley prices for something like this, so when i6 saw this on Amazon, I have it a shot.I paid $40 for this gunship gray heat guard. Overall, I think it's a good deal.The good:Fits correctlyColor match is greatFunctions as well as the more expensive onesThe directions weren't too bad.The bad:For some reason they sent a lot of extra parts that aren't even mentioned in the directions. (The picture of hardware is what I had left over. Directions mentions the square speed bolts for older models, and the special bolts are in there that i was unable to use. Everything else is extra and not mentioned in the directions at all.It was missing 2 flat washersThe special nut (a hexagonal sleeve that goes in the bottom part of the frame that has a hexagonal hole) was slightly too small. Honestly i don't know why Harley didn't just put a threaded hole there like they did the top. When I inserted it and tried to tighten it to compress it, it would slip and not allow me to tighten it. I finally have up after trying all sorts of different ideas and just zip tied the bottom. The top bolt used a pre-existing threaded hole and went in with no issues. The top bolt and zip tie on the bottom has it plenty secure.Would I but this again? Yes, if I had a different bike that needed one and they had the right color. It's budget friendly, just know your bottom bolts might not fit properly. The zip ties was an easy and workable solution for me.

They did an awesome job painting them, they match exactly. Have not had time to put them on yet.
