HUT Swimkit is a brand driven by a passion for open and cold-water swimming. Having experienced the benefits of open water and cold-water swimming first hand and finding it difficult to source quality and good value products, we decided to make our own!
The HUT range of swim buoy dry bags and tow floats is there our journey began. They are made with tough, durable nylon with PVC coating they are completely waterproof making it safe to store your valuables when you swim. We have thoroughly tested these tow floats and dry bags in some pretty harsh conditions and they passed with flying colours each time. Use them in lakes, rivers or the ocean – they go wherever you go.
We have added other useful features too – all bags/floats have handy carry handles making them easy to transport, useful in SwimRun races and for hanging on to when you need a swim-break. Please note, they are not designed as safety devices, they are sighting aids that have extra benefits!
The colours are bright (very) and you can choose from neon pink, fluro orange and hi-viz green (or some may say yellow...maybe a mix of both!). Each float/buoy bag comes with an adjustable waist strap that is secured onto the bag by a tether and carabiner – it can be removed with ease.
The swim buoy dry bags have two air chambers, so if one fails (highly unlikely) you can rest assured that you have the second chamber to keep your valuable safe. The super bright colours can be seen from a very long way away keeping you safe from boats, jet-skis, surfers etc.
The swim buoy dry bags come with an emergency whistle built into the closing clip at the top of the bag, great for attracting attention should you need to. They also some in two sizes – 20L for small items (keys, phone, hat, t-shirt) or the larger 28L so you can fit in your shoes, clothes and valuables.

First time I bought this, it was fantastic. This time around, a huge disappointment. From day one, it looses air and by the time i was done swimming it was a sloppy mess. Not going to buy again, which sucks bc it was so big.

Great quality. I picked this because I like to run up the beach a mile or two and then swim back to my car... the straps make it a breeze to carry- a d the double float compartments are awesome if u end up carrying more than expected (other swimmers stuff)... highly recommend 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Love it! Just wish I found an option for a larger one!Kept everything bone dry, very durable, and well constructed. Living in S. FL is a yr. round vacation & all about the beach. Awesome for an open water swim and strong enough to handle the strong currents/waves.Felt this is a high quality product!

I may update this review, hoping this buoy turns out to be durable and last longer than others. But today I took my first swim with it and ten minutes out the metal clip/carabiner that was attaching the strap to the buoy failed (see photo); the buoy floated away from me--fortunately we were at slack tide in the river, and the wind wasn't high--with my car keys, etc. Almost a disaster. I doubled the strap through itself, which works (though strap a little short?); why they decided to include this really cheap carabiner, I have no idea. It looks technical but is not necessary and is prone to failure.
