I ordered these because they are 100% cotton. The fabric is thick and soft. My daughter is 11 and wears a US girl's size 10 and I ordered size XL 11-12 years. They fit her very loosely. Fortunately the pants have a drawstring in the waist so she can keep them on. At least it will take her a while to outgrown them. They did not shrink appreciably in the wash; I washed in warm water and dried on low heat. I wish they were available in my size!

All good. Like 100pct cotton. Not too much shrinkage in dryer. Fit is good. Wish there was a different color combo but no real complaints.

Based on the size chart, we ordered Large. I think the size chart must be based on the flat measure of the pants, not counting the stretchiness. These definitely have a much larger waist than we need. I would have liked the waist to be smaller with no string. The stretch waist band would have been great alone, but in our case we have to have the string to make them work at all. My daughter is 4'5" with a 23 inch waist and they were falling off but can be made just barely ok with tightening the pull string.My 4'6" 24 inch waist daughter fits in them fine with adjusting the pull string a bit. They fit her the best, but no room for growth in the length.My third daughter is 4'2" with a 23 inch waist and they were way too big on her. If you're smaller, it's a pain to have to adjust the string each time they need to come on and off. Also, the pink pair got a hole in the inseam the first time we wore them even before washing. It looks like the stitching just was too close to the edge and was a quality control issue. I can fix it easily on my sewing machine, but if you don't have that ability, it would be very annoying to have this happen on Day 1.
