1. Align stencil where you want to use it
2. Fix it to whatever surface you are using with a temporary adhesive (such as painter's tape) to ensure that it does not move when you start
3. Use the color you like to paint the blank stencil spaces. Only apply several thin layers until the desired color is achieved
4. Once your desired surface is painted, double-check your edges and paint. Then remove the stencil very slowly and carefully by pulling it up from one corner across to the other side
5. Clean with soap and water and store safely until next use

Shipping was terrible...but the stencil is amazing

Looks smudged and not so good. Would not recommend using this. I will have to paint over to remove this. Not worth the pain and effort
