not super difficult to put together, was able to do it myself but in order to tighten one part, it’s very helpful to have two allen keys so you can hold one side and tighten the other. otherwise it kept spinning because i couldn’t grip the other screw to hold still. you will understand once you start putting together. I’ve purchased the black and the light wood style and both are really beautiful. the black is more of a glossy finish and the tan is like halfway sealed- so i wouldn’t put a wet cup or anything right on the shelf or it will leave a water mark. Overall super happy with this shelf :)

I guess I should have expected that I'd get what I paid for. I wish I hadn't wasted money on this. It arrived with obvious chips and broken off pieces, there were two completely different tones of wood on the same piece, and the whole thing is so wobbly and unstable that I'm afraid to put anything on it. On top of that, they only provide one Allen wrench. It's impossible to assemble with only the one, you need at least two to hold some of the bolts steady while you tighten others. Otherwise, it's impossible to get the bolts tight enough. It's a good thing I had some extra ones lying around. Don't waste your money on this.

This shelf looks good and has just enough space for me to comfortably fit my graphic novels. I do wish it was just a little cheaper. I feel like something so light that uses so little material shouldn't be $70. But at least i didn't pay more than $100I saw some comments about issues with instructions and they are there but they're light and not as clear as ikea instructions. So my advice is when connecting A and B double check that the holes on each piece match. You want to make sure that the big holes are all on one side. And they give you one allen wrench but you kind need two for connecting A and B one to screw in the screw and the other to hold the catch in place. I had a spare allen wrench from ikea so I was fine. When assembling the shelves you want 5 and 4 with most of the shelf facing outward away from the wall. 4 is tricky because the holes are seem to be in the middle. And my final tip which also works for assembling most furniture is to screw everything MOSTLY in and then when all the pieces are together and standing finally tighten them all the way. My shelf is sturdy and not wobbly. And i love it! I might buy another
