The plastic washer has a smaller protruding ridge that properly fits into the bracket to insulate against grounding. Works great for me.

The hole is NOT the right size. The nylon washer does not fit properly. I had to re-drill the hole (neccesitating a trip to Home Depot for a drill bit). I bought the proper fitting nylon washer from American Radio Supply. Once I made these corrections, it worked as it should have! I use it with a Shark Ham Stick attached to my chain link fence and a fifty foot cable to my radio inside my den.

Not drilled correctlyReviewed in the United States on 6 MarchThe hole is not properly drilled for the plastic grommet to separate ground from positive when mounting the antenna. If you install as shown in the picture you could have a direct short causing damage to your radio or could be worse!!

There is a neoprene washer that has a collar that must fit through the hole in the L bracket in order to insulate the feed point from ground. Otherwise this will short out your antenna. So you must re-drill the hole on the mounting bracket to 1/2 inch. Other than that it's a good mount.

the hole to screw the antenna is not the right size, so I had to drill the hole, I didn't like it
