I bought these for my husband when he walks the dog in the snow. He took these off for a day and slipped and fell on the ice.Needless to say he put these back on.

They are very strong rubber material ..also they are hard to get on your shoe. But once you do they are fine. Perfect to walk on snow or ice. not good to walk on other surfaces.

I received the Crampons Ice Snow Cleats for Shoes on time as scheduled. On initial impression, the ice cleats appears solid and well made. I'm not sure what the material is made of, but looks like thick semi-hard rubber that can retain its shape but flexible enough to fit around any shoe.I tried them on and it was super-easy to secure into my boot. As you slipped them on and get everything in position, just snug everything down with the adjustable velcro strip. The ice cleats on the bottom sole has 28 multi-directional steel studs that safely digs into the ice or snow terrain to provide the extra traction so you don't slip and fall. The ice cleats does feels somewhat heavy, but appears extremely durable to last many years of harsh icy-snow conditions.I had a chance to try them out recently in the Chicago area with lots of ice and snow. I can confidently say that it worked flawlessly, not once did the ice cleats fall off nor did I have to retighten the adjustable velcro strap again. I didn't fall on my butt so that's good and the ice cleats were actually comfortable to wear. It doesn't mean that I can run circles on ice, I still had to walk slow and with caution but it does give me an extra layer of traction that I didn't have before when I'm walking. I highly recommend it, two thumbs up!

These are well designed ice cleats. The small fits perfectly onto my size 6 shoes. The detached velcro straps help keep the cleats onto the shoes just in case an end slips off or the thermoplastic elastomer (synthetic rubber aka stretchy plastic) snaps. The product listing says the ice cleats are for "Hunting, Climbing, Running." I will be using them strictly for walking... slow walking. The spikes aren't very long so I don't know how well they would work for climbing and hiking. The ice cleats are easy to put on and just as easy to take off. They should be removed before entering a building or walking on smooth, flat surfaces. During my test, I had no problems walking on carpet and rugs, but the metals on the cleats made walking on laminate and tile floors dangerous.Winter has been disappointingly mild in my area so I haven't had the chance to truly put these cleats to the test. I will report back when I do. 5-stars for now, 1-star later if I break a hip.To be continued...

It was very important for me to buy the right cleats for me. These are well made. Black ice can be hard to judge. I am extremely confident in this cleats. You maybe too. So far I feel safe wearing them in snow & ice only. 💐

I wore these on my recent trip to Iceland, and they served their purpose well on the ice and snow. I don't have the best balance and I am not used to icy/snowy conditions either, so these were a lifesaver for me. They worked well in preventing me from slipping. I felt like I had good grip while walking and hiking with them. I almost forgot they were even on my boots too, so they aren't too heavy either.I wear a size 7/8 in women's boots and the size Womens 5-7/Men's 3-5 fit just right on my boots. I would say the size is very true to the size chart in the photos since they don't have too much stretch to them at the bottom part with the studs. The top rubbery part that goes over your heel/toes does have some stretch though to fit over your boots. It is made of a grippy, rubbery material, so they have a nice grip on your boots and stay put without falling off. They have held up great after almost 2 weeks of heavy use. Overall I am very grateful to have had these and felt they worked very well.
