This Miter saw protractor is made of plastic, but comes with a soft carrying case to protect it. It has clear scale markings and provides info markings about how to use and read.

Wasn’t exactly sure what to expect when I ordered this protractor, but it surprised me with how good it actually is. So, a little context, I’m a woodworker, and I love to build things with a variety of exotic woods. Getting cuts right the first time is important as a missed cut can get expensive real fast on boards that run upwards of $20 per board foot. This protractor really helps by allowing you to measure the angle of things in the house and make sure that you cut it right before you start. No trial and error...or needing to do the math to make sure you get it right.Measures inside and outside angles equally well and has a full range of motion so it picks up everything I would ever need it for. Then you simply adjust your tools as directed. It even gives scales for single cuts or miter cuts. One thing that I really like is that the scale moves easily but is stiff enough in the movement that I can place it and measure something, but when I remove it, the protractor will naturally hold that position. If I need to compare to another location or hold it to the light to read the numbers, so long as I don’t bump it, it holds the measurement. Even has a felted bag to keep it in when not in use.Highly recommended.
