The wires were different colors but I just plugged it in anyway. It gave it spark. I have to jump start the bike but it works. Not sure if it's the stator or wiring but least it has spark now.

Looks nice, says it will work, but it DOES NOT WORK! Waste of time and money. Buy better quality elsewhere

I’ve probably spent close to 6 hours trying to figure this out and it won’t work, and you’re probably thinking “this dude’s an idiot, it’s literally plug and play how could you mess that up” but to add some context if you notice in the pictures there’s a yellow and green wire, and you may be thinking “hey that’s a cool wire”. Well too bad for you because you’re getting a blue and white wire instead as well as the amazing addition of no instructions on what anything does and ya you can look up a wiring diagram for the atv but have fun matching up a wire that doesn’t exist. And to the seller or anyone, if you’re seeing this and can send me a diagram of what this specific cdi does and what all the wires do then I’d gladly take down this review.

Cdi unit was used on 1987 Yamaha 350 Big Bear. Worked perfect and was delivered as projected.

Distance between mounting bolt holes are wider on this replacement than the original Yamaha part. However you can get it mounted securely enough through one hole. It functions as well or better than the original. and is well worth the money.

as the original part was discontinued, research will show that the yfm350er (87-88 moto 4) has the same rotor, so when looking for a stator/voltage regulator or cdi, use yfm350er cause using 87 warrior will lead to it's a one off year or you can get the old one rebuilt for $250. I took a gamble and it panned out as well as saved me over $200 and waiting time. May need to modify key switch harness if no spark when installed, as it may create redundant ground to coil, cutting black wire in key switch harness will fix it.

It produces spark, but the timing is incorrect with this unit for a 1987 Yamaha Moto4 350
