I bought my Ford F250 new in 1999. It has always had a rough idle. At 230,000 miles my 7.3 just stopped in the middle of the road. I found that this oil pressure switch had failed. After replacing the bad switch with the new one from Amazon not only did my truck start but it ran better than ever. Thank you Amazon for being there.

Got two of these (one plus a spare, given reports of dodgy quality) to replace a leaking OE sensor from '01. Install is simple, but the first thing I noticed was the use of what appears to be a low-durometer silicone O-ring. For sealing a high temperature and pressure oil cavity, this is the wrong choice and is likely a contributor the reports of failed seals. I replaced them with Viton which is far better suited for this application and pre-soaked the "business end" of the sensor in clean oil to lubricate the O-ring during installation.Update: After 80 miles of driving on the first sensor, I've found that the sensor reading isn't properly averaged leading to unstable engine output and also causes an SES light when starting a hot engine. We'll see if the second one is any better...Update 2: second sensor is doing much better, but use a 10mmx14mm viton O-ring and fully seat the sensor. Doesn't leak a drop after three max-effort tows.

I don’t like or did like anything in particular. Part fits properly on my 7.3 diesel and between the new cam sensor and this part it seemed to have cured my running problem been on the engine for a couple weeks still no problems

So far I have been using this sensor a few weeks now the oring has not leaked and it installed nicely compared to my old one. It's a bit larger than a stock motorcraft part but is working well.

Installed this on a 1995 f250 7.3. Part fit and cured my idle problem. Truck runs way smoother than it did before. Didn’t want to pay for a Motorcraft part and it not be the problem being how this is just a project truck I been working on. So I decided to try this one given the price. So far so good. Only time will tell if it’s a quality part or not. But if you need a ICP, but don’t want to pay for a OEM part, this one will definitely work. Price was worth it so far. I gave it 5 stars for working as it should for what it cost.

I have the early 99 version of the 7.3L and it fit fine. So far no problem with the o-ring. No issues at all! Update o-ring just failed today. I changed my review to 4 stars from 5 to reflect this. No big deal I caught the leak before it got bad. I installed a new o-ring and the sensor works just fine. Still a great value!
