Tripod sprinklers are my favorite style of sprinkler for large areas. These sprinklers work well and are easy to set up. They look nicer than most with a pretty green finish to them and you can replace the heads on them if they ever do wear out! The price is great on them too! Almost half the price as a farmstore.

These tripod sprinklers are great for the most part. Easy to move around and get the spray at the angle right. I used to have the type that would press into the ground. That's fine but is rough going if the ground is hard, plus it didn't have the same spray reach. The durability of this sprinkler seems typical, but I'm worried about the plastic hinges used for opening the tripod. Also the pressure of the spray can move or overturn the tripod. Would be nice if it had some way to stake it. I'll hang a weight in the middle to make it more stable.

These work well! I love that there are two in a pack and individually, they still cover a lot of ground. If you do not have underground sprinklers, this is the next best thing. I’ve never used anything like this before and I am amazed at how easy it is to attach the hose and how flexible the legs are on each sprinkler. They are compact, which makes for easy storage. I would not hesitate to order these again.

These two tripod impulse sprinklers from Pattiumo are well designed and function well. I love the adjustability of the three segments in each tripod leg. I have three other sprinklers similar to these which are all essentially the same design with the foot pad at the end of each leg and another one which has a three inch spike at the end. All of those allow me to set the sprinkler up on uneven or sloping ground, with no instability. I have never had any issues with those tipping over unless I pulled the hose too tight on them. I use these impulse sprinklers both in full circle and partial circle areas where I have not yet installed more automated watering arrangements. On almost all of these I run them on a timer for ease and consistency. Sprinkler performance is distinctly reduced when running through a timer. I operate from a well with typical tank pressure maximum of 55 psi. That means that at full flow the sprinkler will typically see 45 psi operational. I have measured free water flow at 5 gallons per minute on my timers and that still is a reduction on this sprinkler. Avoiding that slight reduction in flow and available pressure through a timer will ensure the sprinkler pattern and diffusion are at their optimum for even water distribution and a broader distribution. However you just have to run them manually to avoid the flow reduction created by a time with a smaller port size. So if you have an option to run these on full flow you will have the best water distribution that it can give you. The only detail which is a head scratcher is ‘why’ do they include the roll of Teflon sealer tape with each unit? There are no pipe threads anywhere on this sprinkler that would need this tape and using it on the sprinkler head install or anywhere else would be inappropriate, additionally, if improperly installed it could create plastic tape debris and cause problems with the sprinkler itself.

Over my many years of watering lawns, I've seen and owned countless sprayers. But these will be my best. Over the last 5 years or so, I've used a similar sprayer, but those we not equipped with the metal impact sprayers. These are equipped with all metal impact sprayers, which in my opinion, can be adjusted to handle any pattern that you will need. The adjustable telescoping legs allows you to set the spray coverage to different heights under trees or whatever you may have. I have a set of this type of telescoping legs on several sprayers and they have the plastic clips for adjusting the leg lengths, and I have never had any problems with the clips being plastic. While it's still too cold here to get out and water the lawn, these sprayers are built to last and I can't wait to use them.
