The thread is ~5/8" or 9/16", or 17mm. The thread pattern didn't fit anything in the hardware store, who carry both standard and metric. I'm sending this back for a refund.

What can I say, it's a poly brush that fits a 5" round flue. Pushed it down my chimney, pulled it back up and had a nice pile of creosote in the firebox waiting for the shop vac. If you have the tools for the job you can save $ hundreds hiring a "pro" and DIY in a couple hours or less.
