I have seen a lot of complaints about this pot like the handles falling off or it leaking liquid where the handles are attached. I have not had these issues. I use it for cheese making and it has worked perfectly for me so far

I'm a small batch homebrewer and need my brewpubs to work on induction plates. I used to test pots with a rare earth magnet, but when this one would not stuck to the magnet, I tested thus by placing the pot on my induction plate. It heated up! I don't understand the science, but I don't care. I can now make 2 gallon batches of English ales!!!!!!

This pot is bigger than I thought it would be . I love it .I've bought similar ones that the screws came loose where the handles attach . So far so good .

Not sturdy, not thick. I just knew after the first use that this product won’t last long. The edges of the pot are molded weirdly with a crevice where steam and mold can curate, and will be impossible to reach because it’s so thin of a crack. Please don’t risk that danger.

I neglected to read other reviews before purchasing this, and am paying the price. The lid to this pot does not fit properly (slides back and forth and is not a tight seal). The pot is so lightweight, I thought the box was empty upon arrival. When I removed the pot from the box, the bottom was dented and scratched. There is a grayish black substance on the sides and bottom of the pot. Sadly, very poor quality and workmanship. Returning.

Came exactly as shown. No idea about the heat distribution, but safe to say if youre using this youre cooking something for a long time, so everything will be the same temp eventually. I didnt measure the volume to check if it really was 4 gallons. However, i did make some stock with around 2 gallons of water, a whole chicken, whole veggies, and there was still plenty of room, so safe to say it is 4 gallons. Steel so you can put it on an induction burner, and a metal lid so you can potentially put the whole thing in the oven. Met all of my requirements with a great price. Would recommend for any home cook wanting to make stocks, or soups, or even tamales.

We moved from Honolulu to Tyrone. And I started my country style life which I dreamt of. In here I can go to Amish Farm and bought their produces and fruits in big amount..I mean BIG ! With the price unbelievable and all fresh. So, I started to think to preserve them with canning.Problem was my all big pots still on the way from Honolulu. I bought this, and I'm glad I did...yes, its thin but good enough at least in my case I made tons of jam, sauce, pickles and etc and still really good shape.

Note: This stock pot is only 14 quarts, NOT 16; and only 12 of which are actually usable. I sent Amazon an email from which they are `looking into it'. I expect the description to soon change so I'll hold off on a -1 star for now.First off, what do people expect for a $14.99 stainless steel stock pot with a lid!?!Yes, it's very thin metal and yes there is a sticker on it that is bonded through nuclear fusion but with some elbow grease, a window scraper/razor it can be removed. Any leftover will come off by soaking in oxiclean-free for a few hours.I'm using this pot to heat strike water (and water to preheat my MLT/cooler) that I use to brew all-grain beer. The handles are strong enough to lift 2.5 - 3 gallons of water though I wouldn't try it with hot to boiling water (be safe out there!). I also haven't filled it to the full 14 quart capacity as it might leak through the handles (hence 12 qt's usable IMHO). I do a continuous sparge so after taking a gallon out and putting it in my MLT, I add a gallon to the pot to reheat as the sparge does its thing (the remaining hot 2 gallons in the pot quickly heat the third I place in.)If you want hot water for AG brewing, this is a very good, cheap choice and I'd recommend it. It heats fairly quickly on a medium-high btu flame (I also got a 2 gallon boil easily on an electric kitchen stove.) I would not use this as an MLT or for boiling wort!If you want to make light stocks or broths (at max 3-gal), this is a good, cheap, possible choice.I wouldn't recommend this for thick soups, pasta (might not keep a consistent temp), roux's, or anything heavy / creamy. For that, pony up and get yourself a heavy, 3-layer-bottom SS pot.
