Is it PVC or TPU? Microfiber or polyester? This is a rather odd item, but some of it is good oddness. The fabric covering (microfiber?) completely encases the pillow on all sides with no openings anywhere to remove it for washing. Even if there was an opening, it is glued down around the air valve. Contrary to information on the listing, it is NOT REMOVABLE. All your gooey hair oil will be there to stay. On the upper side, there's two more layers with a very thin quilted batting (polyester?) in between. It doesn't do much to pad the air pillow, but there's that opening in the side where you could stuff in a shirt or jacket to increase padding. The inner air bladder (hardened TPU? Certainly not soft or stretchy like many TPU are.) is capable of some very LOUD crinkle noises when one moves. It usually doesn't do these for very small movements, though. These noisier materials do seem better at not leaking from numerous microholes after 6 months to 2 years the way so many pillows have.It is a good height for side sleeping. Easy to blow up. A little hard to use the button in the valve for small air adjustments. Once the air is adjusted how you like it, it'll stay at that level through the night. And it doesn't smell weird, or at all.To put away, open the lower layer on the valve. I'm not a fan of the two layer valves. I've already accidentally opened this one entirely, and popped the retaining ring off the opening, while just trying to let out a touch of air for comfort. Fold it in thirds the long way, half the short, and roll the ATTACHED bag into. The bag has two loops meant to slide into massive hooks on the sides of the case. The system might be useful for securing the pillow to a seat top or sleeping pad, but those elastics won't last long. They especially won't last long if used to carry the thing as shown in one of the badly photoshoped product images. Since the bag only closes by stiffened edges sort of pressing toward each other, you probably won't want it anywhere outside a pack.

The inflatable pillow is very small and lightweight. It comes with an attached bag for quick storage. You won't lose the carrying bag because it is sewn right on the pillow. It filled up quickly with a pump, and was easy to inflate with my lungs as well. This little pillow is just what I needed for the camping trip and once inflated is firm and holds the air over night. The cons I see with this product are that there are little clips that I have no idea what they are used for nor does it have any instructions on amazon's page. Further the pictures are quite different from what you get. For example the color differs, the picture also shows the storage bag separate, and also you can tell the pillow if photoshopped into some of the images they present.Other pros are easy to deflate, just unscrew and fold up towards the valve. The material is soft and feels strong enough that it will resist popping or puncture, but you should carry a vinyl repair kit if you are backpacking deep in the forest, just in case. It did not have any weird smells or defects. I feel that the overall value of this is good for the money
