Got this for our 34 Mainship. Powered with a Newport vessels 64 lb thrush electric. Boat was easy to assemble but heavy for one person tackle but I did it. Boat is good construction and feels sturdy. I promptly put a hole in the front section due to scuba gear mishandling. Customer support at the corporate office is friendly and good. They recommend a glue and I used the patch that came with it. Patched with no issues. My kids love it and are getting the hang of cruising around with the electric motor. Maybe I will power up to gas motor at some poiny but this is good for a shore boat and safe for the kids. Tows well. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Update 7-26-2020:Wanted to post an update to my review. Now used the boat 15+ times, all inflate and deflate boat trips. Boat is holding up well in most areas. The foot pump is wearing out which makes inflating the boat take a little longer. If it continues to wear will need to find an after market pump. The transom plate is peeling which seems to be a biproduct of the salty ocean water and the the constant on and off of the outboard, just cosmetic damage at this point. Other than those two items , still happy with the purchase. Love that I can fit this boat in my small sedan. I hope inflatable sport boats sells replacement foot pumps!Original:I wanted to wait until a couple uses to write a review, so here is my input with three separate uses at about 5 hours of run time. The boat is very sturdy and not too complicated to assemble. After the first assembly, the next time took about half getting it down to 15-20 minutes.Boat feels solid in the water and gets to plane very quickly with my 8hp Mercury. Does about 13 mph with two ppl and gear with my outboard. This boat has been great for fishing. The bottom is quite stable and can stand while casting fishing line in the water. Can also easily switch seats with other passenger if needed with fear of falling overboard.Foot pump is better than I expected and also has the ability to pump air out.So far definitely give it a five out five and will follow up as I get more uses out of it.

Very stable and stiff inflatable. A little difficult to assemble the first time through. Water can hide under the floorboards, but overall a great boat.-update: have 6hp engine and it works great. Very stiff, very stable. Best inflatable I've had/used.

Boat is made Very well and great quality! I have looked around for an inflatable that was made of good quality and welded seems and this one had everything i wanted! i have used it a few time and was very impressed! Its extremely sturdy with the hard floor i can stand wile the boat is in movement! it is very easy to set up takes about 15-20 min by itself and about 30 min with all my gear and accessories that i have on it. The pump that it comes with works GREAT a lot better than expected! The wooden pice of the floor in the front had a lil paint damage but not anything serious overall very pleased with my boat handles extremely well in lakes and will try it out in the ocean soon

I am dissatisfied with the purchase. Please see additional details and photos. The floor has dangerous polishing, see photo. How comes an inflatable boat has a needle sharp edge on the floor where it comes to contact with bottom and tubes? The pump arrived without additional adapters. I can't attach my electrical pump to the hose. The floor has strange spots on it. Someone tried to drill the frontal panel, but the boat should be new.Repair kit comes without a glue.

I originally bought this dinghy for our family of 4 to use to tender from our sail boat to shore. Let me start by saying I am overall very impressed with the quality and sturdiness of this dinghy. I would recommend this brand. I did a lot of research prior to buying this inflatable dinghy boat and decided on the Shark 9.8’ because:Pros:1. Needed the boat to hold at least 4 people and the max load of 1158 lbs was a lot for a dinghy this size.2. Everything I read online said to make sure the PVC is welded, not glued. This one was and a welded boat is supposed to last you a lot longer.3. Only dinghy I could find that comes with 2 bench seats and a storage bag included.4. Very good looking boat next to our white sail boat!Cons:1. Wanted a cover and Bimini for this model boat and can’t seem to find one. Contacted the manufacture and was told both will be available in 2017.After having the boat for a while, the family and friends have found tons of ways to utilize it. We mounted a 9.9 HP motor on the boat and it hauls. My husband and our 28 year old son take it out fishing. They were surprised it was even stable enough to handle both of them standing while fishing. They are excited to get the free fishing pole holder because I am writing this review.
