I had purchased a Harbor freight air saw with the warranty and on #4 failure I decided it’s not worth it. Purchased this and I am so glad I did. Now when I need it to work it’s always ready. Quality is top notch as with all ingersoll products. Biggest thing to not is to make sure you oil before and after use every day. This is a must with these

After using a cheaper air saw for cutting sheet metal, I found my hands sore after the harsh vibrations. That problem is no more . This IR air saw is amazing. Super smooth operation and zero vibration. Very happy with the purchase and hope the tool holds up well. Highly recommend

I bought this to cut holes in a Sprinter Van I'm converting and it's by far one of the best the tools I've ever purchase. It's so incredibly useful and about 1000x more maneuverable than a jig saw for cutting metal. There's hardly any vibration and it cuts like auto panels like butter. The saw itself is super comfortable the handle is really nice and it's great to have something from the IR name. I highly recommend this saw if you are doing any sort of metal fab work on thin panels!

Cuts like butter and is quieter than others too. Uses standard blades and runs off a 1/4” air connector (not included). Like every air tool it must be oiled prior to daily use with a few drops of air tool oil. Very comfortable to hold and is easy to guide in a straight line. I cut 1/8” steel with it and it did fine. That’s probably thicker than I normally use it for. Vibration is much lower than others I have used in the past. Can’t go wrong with the Ingersoll Rand 529 Reciprocating Air Saw. I highly recommend this saw. If it were to get stolen I would buy another one. I can’t do without it.

Size is good. Lightweight. Vibration to a minimum for what it is. Precision cutting. My husband uses it for many of his automotive uses and has good things to say about. For reference, it cuts lightweight aluminum, heavy weight aluminum and a steele bumper on our Jeep. So far cuts cleanly.

I was expecting a pretty good saw for the price. But this thing is incredible. There really is almost zero vibration, though. It's almost funny how smooth it is. With the low noise, low vibration, and directional air outlet - this little saw could be used for as long as necessary. Other cheap air saws I've used leave my hands tingling for a while after using them for any duration. And somehow it uses barely any air, while still having plenty of power - I can run it on a little portable oilless compressor just as happily as the big Quincy. I even cut off a (Ford 4.6 V8) cast iron exhaust manifold with it recently. I'm super happy that I spent the money to get this thing; I'm finding that I reach for it more often than some other cutting tools around the shop.

I have seldom been impressed by a hand tool like I am with this quality air saw.I am retired. Over the course of my life I've always worked with my hands and I've used every kind of tool conceivable. I've been a sculptor, machinist, cabinet maker, photographer and a professional model maker. When I use this tool I feel like a sculptor or a surgeon at work. I say surgeon because I have cut up and dressed animals and fowl. You can have very precise control with this tool and with the proper blade for the work you can effortlessly scroll and cut small, smooth radii. You can hold it at the very end without any moving parts attacking your fingers. I use a swivel air connector and light, flexible air hose. It's just a joy to use because of the light weight, balance and lack of vibration.I have been cutting fiberglass with it so far. It is a breeze to cut 1/8" to 3/16" thick FRP with a 24 tooth blade. I've never felt the need to run it at more than 60 PSI.It is money well-spent if you use and like professional tools.
