The wood seems to be soft, especially for table top. The paint scratches after a couple weeks of use. Two out of 4 screws binding the table top and the base came off after a few weeks of use. I put them back using the loctite glue. Hopefully they will stay this time. otherwise I will need add a few screws to make sure the table top stays with the base. This is the first time I have a furniture form parawood. Maybe parawood is not as sturdy as other hardwood. It is OK for the price.

This table is made so well we absolutely love it. We also bought a 30 inch that we use in a guest room as a corner table. I would highly recommend it is so well made.

I had looked at Ballard for a kitchen table and at the time they had a similar one. I wasn't sure what we were going to do with the kitchen so I opted for a less expensive option. I would highly recommend a glass top for this table if it is going to be used frequently. I found a glass top at Pier one. We still have the table and my boys use it quite frequently -the base is not chipped or cracked as I thought it might. I would buy again!

Solid table. Comes dissembled, each leg screws into post and center post screws into table top. Takes about 10 minutes to assemble. Finish has held up well so far for 1.5 years.

I love this table! We needed a 36" for our sun room and this piece looks lovely and makes a nice statement. It was easy to assemble and is sturdy and well made with a nice finish. Excellent quality for a very reasonable price!

Legs arrive in 1 box and table top in another. Very cute for my breakfast nook. Had a light scratch down the center when it arrived, but nothing worth returning over.......will probably have a few more within its life! We will simply use placemats to hide it.
