I was very excited about this product as it appears to be well made and cute too. Unfortunately mine lasted approximately one month before my horses broke it into about a dozen pieces, leaving just part of the backing attached to the post. The piece that remained on the post was broken and edges were sharp, the rest of the pieces were scattered, luckily horses did not manage to puncture themselves before I was able to remove everything.

I’ve purchased these several times for my barn and have been pleased. They hold up as expected considering the purpose and corrosive nature of the use.

I put this in a horse's stall, and the horse isn't a rubber, scratcher, etc. He's nice to all of his stall additions, guards, toys, feeders. I saw him just ever so slightly bump this holder with his rump when he circled around his stall, and the whole horseshoe snapped right off. Fell off in one piece. Don't get me wrong...this is a cute salt block holder! But the adhesion between the back plate and the horse shoe needs to be improved! It doesn't hold up at all.

these are great. Fit the regular salt brick perfectly. They are sturdy. I only used two screws. I like that they’re plastic and they won’t rust and they’ll be able to be washed off. And they look super cute in the stalls.

I got my first one of these decades ago as a door prize at a clinic. I thought it was a cute gimmick, and only used it because my horse destroyed a wire one and this was all I had. I couldn't have been more wrong. These things are great. Contrary to what you would think from appearances, they are more durable than even heavy duty wire ones, and they hold the block longer, until more of it is used, before the rest of the block falls out, regardless of whether your horse is more of a licker or more of a chewer, so you waste less of the block. Great product.

These are wonderful. They are durable, never rust or bend plus they look good too. I have switched all my salt licks out to these.

These are great salt block holders. They do break however if horses use them as butt scratchers (but only after years of abuse). When my holders like these broke I picked up some cheap metal ones at a local store. Hated them. They rusted (even though they were covered with plastic coating) and got bent out of shape to the point where they wouldn't hold a salt block any more when used as a butt scratcher. So I was excited to find these and be able to get new ones.

I currently had a salt block holder like this, but after many years, one of the side poles broke and disappeared. I like that the new holder came preassembled, I just wish it came with new attachment screws.
