Extremely dusty, once they were rinsed off they turned dark gray and brown. Hubs thinks they will still be safe for the tank, idk.

I got this coral to raise the PH of my aquarium and make it a bit more alkaline, as I have snails with shells I need to keep healthy, as well as my fish. The pieces are a perfect size in my opinion to use as EITHER decoration or filter media. I have a few pieces on my substrate, and it looks nice, as well as in my hang in back filter for additional beneficial bacteria creators and mineral supplements. I’m going super slow to see what happens, so I don’t harm my fish, but this is a good sized bag you can use for the largest aquarium. I also appreciate they supplied a nice filter bag with the coral, if that’s what you wanted to use it for. You can either use as is, or smash up in smaller chunks, but I like the look of it in bigger sticks. A good value for the money, in my opinion.
