Picked this up as a gift for a friend who is cat crazy and likes little kitschy things. Unfortunately, the bowl is way too small for a cat, even for a kitten. While the product title mentions guinea pigs, it also says kitten bowl, so I thought it would be bigger. Instead, it is barely the size of my very sleek gaming mouse (see picture for comparison). While arguably, you could put some treats or water in this for a kitten to lap at, it definitely is too little to serve as a regular food bowl. Further, the material is ceramic; while I am currently without a cat, the cats in my past would have quickly shattered this.

First and foremost, this is NOT big enough for a rabbit, Guinea pig, or kitten. It might hold enough food for a small gerbil for one day. The design is so cute, I wanted my rabbit to use this, but there's no way it would hold enough pellets to keep her from being hangry. The actual dish part that holds the food is way smaller than it needed to be. From the product images it looks like it goes down into the base of the mushroom but no, it dips down maybe half an inch from the lip. The bowl is maybe 3 inches in diameter total so it would probably fit in a gerbil cage, but anything bigger than that needs a bigger bowl. The ceramic seems alright, gives it decent weight to prevent your very hungry and angry pet from throwing it out of frustration.

While cute and sturdy, it very small and shallow. May hold some seeds or small pellets, but not for piggies or rabbits.
