I always have to shorten my pants, and jeans pose a problem because the material is usually thick. I have an old sewing machine which doesn't handle thick material very well. I often have to hand sew with jeans. So I was excited to try this out. The tip about moistening the hem tape before applying heat to prevent shrinkage is a great idea. This is an easy process to shorten my jeans. I love it.

A nice quantity. Sticks well depending on your fabric. I like that it's fairly sheer. It does show slightly through a very thin silk crepe, but it's not obtrusive. On a textured fabric, you may have to really try to get it all to stick well, but once it does, it's set.

I don't know if this is supposed to be used a particular way, it didn't come with instructions, but it only holds on side of the tape. So it was on super tight on that one side. But, you need both sides to hold to make a hem, as far as I know. If I was fixing a rip or joining two pieces together, this would be great, but not for a hem.
