Turns out I'm using a different pattern "double wedding ring" embroidered quilt top from this same company for my project, opted out of this design because the cross-stitch will make me crazy. Ironically, the pattern I chose has big, 8 pointed cross-stitch stars--that I will not embroider, but use pieces of clothing for a "memory quilt." Nevertheless, had not even heard of Jack Dempsey except as a boxer or something until this came up. There are enough patterns available that you should be able to find something that suits you (as I did). Happy enough with the fabric--there are caveats listed, though--do not get water on the blue printed design as it allegedly will fade to nothing; and do not press the items or the blue will become "set" and permanent! Pleasant relaxing with this project. The third photo is from the package--how the finished product is SUPPOSED to look....
