I read other reviews on these and other, similar boots and decided to get them in my regular shoe size. It was close, but they run about 1/2 size big. They look incredible. I returned the pair that are too big, and I'll update this once I get the pair that are 1/2 size smaller.UPDATE (review updated from 4 to 5 stars):I successfully returned the originals, and purchased and received the 1/2 size smaller ones. They still felt a tad roomy, so I'd recommend trying a full size smaller than your sneakers if you're going to wear them as is. I kept these because I have had surgery for plantar fasciitis, and I knew I'd be putting my Dr. Scholls inserts in them. I first tried just putting the Dr. Scholls on top of the existing insoles, but that made the boots too tight. So I pulled out the original insole (feels like you're going to ruin the boots, but if you peel and pull carefully, the 1-2mm thick insole comes right out, no problem), and put in the Dr .Scholls again and they fit perfectly and feel very comfortable. They seem to be made well, but time will tell for sure. As I said above, they look fantastic. I'm using these as a trial too determine whether or not I can become a "boot man." If these work out (I got the black ones), I'll probably pick up a pair of rust colored ones as well. You will want to let them air out for 48 hours, as another reviewer stated, because they do have a strong, unpleasant odor at first. After airing for 2 days though, it dissipated almost completely.
