If you are simply replacing your carburetor on a 660r I highly recommend that you take your old jets out from the old carburetor, clean them and put them in the new carburetor. There are 3 in the left carb and 2 in the right carb. Do one at a time. Also, you will have to adjust both needle meter heights for the main jets of you are not close to sea level. There are videos online if you need help. I do have a moderately modded 660r and at sea level. I found that lowering the eclip on the needle to the bottom setting (most fuel given on throttle) worked just right for me. There are 2 idle mixture screws underneath. 2 and a 1/2 turns out worked fine for me. Remember to turn them all the way in before counting your turns out.

Let me clear things up, all these bad reviews reflect user error. Apparently, they don't have basic knowledge on how carburetor works. When i installed it, had issue on acceleration, judger and missfire, but on full throttle it goes flying. The simple fix for that is simple, the floaters must be calibrated so the fuel reaches the pilot jets. In my case the floaters was a bit low, and the fuel not reaching the pilot jets nozzle. After couple of adjustment, it's so smooth, no missfire whatsoever, and i adjust the upper needle for the main jets and shifted the C clip to the last bottom position, by default it's on the position before last.So the people who are saying it's junk and they had to shift all the parts from the old one to the new and it worked, it's because the floaters already adjusted.Nice carb honestly, and highly recommended. Don't forget to adjust the floaters if you faced missfire or bad acceleration.

No issues, switched diaphragms to the odd ones, but used new slides that came with the carb. Not sure if it was necessary, but seemed to run smoother. Started right up, set your mixture screws to 2.5 turns out both carbs

Fast shipping. Open carb to check for debris like I read in some comments, all clean, no sharp edges or aluminum shavings. Installed and fired up first try after quad had been sitting for years and years. Old carbs had leak on bowl gaskets. Bought replacment carb because was about same price as rebuild kit. No leaks, perfect fit, came with eveything needed for the swap. Jets that came in it equal to 170. Had 160 in my carbs from 3500ft MSL, now live at 1000ft MSL so decided to keep the 170 and not use my old 160 due to elevation change.

Idled perfectly. Fired right up BUT! easing off of idle to the next gear she bogs out. so, easing between gears from the Idle jet to pilot jet is a problem. but if you give her the gas through the gears she runs like a scalded dog. For 37 bucks it's worth it.. no fuel leaks good throttle and choke

Will bolt right up and start machine but if you’re like me and have to run certain size pilots, main jets, and tune due to not being stock this will not work for you either. Most of the jets are different thread and sizes compared to Mikuni oem. If yours is completely stock then maybe it’ll work just fine.

Literally took the time to figure out how to write a review for the first time since being a 2012 Amazon shopper because I feel it might help and save money for people in my situation.Long story short, not taking proper care and leaving fuel in tank on my STOCK 660 for months cost me my carb. Before buying this one I bought one of the other carbs on here for about the same price (will write review on that as well) needless to say it ended up in the garbage. I figured I’d give this one a try before biting the bullet and paying 16 times its price for OEM. Glad I got this because I am one of the ones that can say “I threw this in my 05 STOCK 660 out of the box and it’s running great” No issues with performance at all and I ride on the aggressive side. Time will be the real test but for now I couldn’t be more satisfied with this product!

Bought this for my Raptor 660. It looks identical and mounts right up. I didnt run it as it came for a perfect review but did a few mods based on other reviews that seemed to work great. I didnt have any metal shavings inside as some reported but I did have a big problem with the choke. It took awhile with small long needle nose pliers to get the plunger out to hook up the choke cable. I installed a dyno jet kit immediately so i know what jets are in it. I also used the original slides based on other reviews and transferred the new diaframs over to the old slides. I used the dyno jet instructions to make sure all the settings were correct because I wasnt sure about out of the box settings. I then installed the carb and it fired up after the bowls had fuel. I do have a problem that I narrowed down to the choke. After I took the choke plunger out, putting it back in with some lube it is still super tight and does not move freely. It backfire at mid rev because I dont think the choke closes all the way. I will take care of that will some light polishing later. I do recommend this carb with the said mods. Sorry I couldnt tell you how it was out of the box but I needed to jet it anyway.
