I bought this tc because the only one I had was 9.5 inches which was too small and the stall was too high. Bad choice on my part. I got this one hoping that it would have better traction due to a little bit lower stall and better gas mileage since it’ll be a 12 inch and have better street manners. It took the shop HOURS to install and I’m out $800. This tc is broken. I have all the symptoms of a bad tc such as shuddering, strange noises, problems with acceleration, etc. at first the pedal feel was so firm I could barely put my foot all the way down. I would floor it and it wouldn’t go anywhere. After the peddle feel felt better like a normal car but still had problems shifting and accelerating. I would go 45mph and floor it and it wouldn’t go anywhere. It would just rev up. Driving home today I drove it around in hopes that maybe it just needed time to get used to it but no. It’s even worse. I floored it at 25mph and it just revved up and went nowhere and made noise that sounded like metal. I am 23 years old. I am not made of money. I love my 1990 corvette so much. I have taken such great care of this car, but now that I’m down over $1200 I am extremely stressed out and don’t know what to do. Even if I did send the tc back I would have to have them drop it AGAIN and I wouldn’t have a car for idk how long while I waited for another one AND had to pay to get it reinstalled. Someone please help me with this.Update: now it’s making horrible sounds while I’m in park or idling. It sounds like it’s reviving or whirring…Update 2: I lost reverse.
