This was a perfect replacement for my Hoover Smartwash carpet cleaner. The hose had stopped spraying water, so after trying every single repair tip and “priming” the hose, I decided to take it apart and came about this solenoid. Figured this had something to do with there being no pressure towards the hose, since there is a similar solenoid for the floor wash feature.Today I switched the part and the machine is back in working order. Replacing the part isn’t that bad; tearing the machine apart is cumbersome because of the many parts and covers that need to be removed before you get to the solenoid, but considering the price of a new machine vs. the solenoid, plus the fact that I had recently replaced the motor made it a no brainer.
