I was expecting selenite that was white. What I got was mostly grey and was not perfectly round. I had planned to put it on a light stand, but the selenite I got is so "dirty" looking, the light does nothing. Not really sure that it's real selenite.

It is nice when the product looks just like the picture. This stone did. Now we know that stones are all different, but it can be frustrating when the stone isn't even close to the picture. So, The color is the same. The size is pretty close. Very pleased with purchase.

Firstly, it's a gorgeous piece of selenite. Luminous, well polished, very few chips (which is amazing for selenite since it's so soft). It has natural occlusion and is very much a natural stone.But- I took two stars off because I ordered the 4 inch orb- and this is clearly NOT four inches. My pic show it next to a 4 inch optical orb, which is exactly 4 inches. I'm guessing this one is 2.7-3 inches at best. Very disappointed. While it is a beautiful stone, it is not the show piece I required.

As an admirer.. to say the least.. of Selene I was and still am ecstatic about this gift I got from my wife for Christmas. Every full moon I bring it out in the moonlight while I speak to her.Mine is not perfectly round but I appreciate that because neither is the moon. As a stone it is absolutely mesmerizing. It changes from every angle, just like the moon. And in the new moon position it looks like an eye and can be seen through like fiber optics just enough to be a very effective tool for scrying, seeing the unseen, or amplifying moonlight. This is definitely a better magical tool than a clear crystal ball for such purposes.

I have been reading quite a lot about shungite and the author of one of the books I have read recommends using selenite together with shungite, especially when it comes to having shungite in the bedroom.So I came on Amazon and looked for a nice selenite sphere. I am no expert on stones, but as soon as I had this sohere in my hands, I had the feeling this is a good stone. A friend of mine, who knows a lot about stones, confirmed my feeling.
