I upgraded from mechanical disc brakes to these. Night and day difference. Way more stopping power with little effort. I recommend these as an upgrade.

replaced mechanical disc brakes on a 24" Cannondale mountain bike. The length was perfect and had everything I needed to install. Had no issues and they work great and MUCH better than the mechanical lines.

I had to replace the rear brake on my cross country mountain bike and it seemed to be a good deal to buy the set as it was only a few buck more than buying a single. I was happy with that and found the installation was only a few minutes. The come with fluid already charged and no need to do a bleed or anything. Worked right off the bat. Then a bit later the fork on another mountain bike went south. There was actually a rim brake on that bike and when I bought a new fork found that it came with mounting for a disc brake so I went ahead and bought a disc brake compatible wheel and a disc and upgraded the bike with the front part I got with this purchase. I don't usually get good karma but this time I did!

Got these as I've got an electric bike that came with basic Tektro cable disk breaks. I pull a very large trailer (it's a wooden wagon with 2 kids seats in tandem plus my wife sits behind that plus a rear rack with stuff on it). The base brakes were adequate if you used the bike alone, but with probably 300 pounds behind the bike, plus 80 pounds for the bike, and me at just under 200 lbs, I needed more braking. I paired these with a set of 203mm rotors and wow, what a difference. These brakes are smooth, easy to install, and very powerful. I can endo my bike with the trailer behind me. I'm sure I could flip me off the bike if I grabbed just front brake if I wasn't careful.Make sure to bed in the pads properly and you'll be good. I didn't have to bleed the brakes and just ran the cables along my frame. They were a decent length for a standard step through frame bike. If you want to run them inside your frame, you'll need a few extra parts and tools to cut the hose and reconnect. Overall, I'd argue this is the best value performance brake you can buy, especially since parts are easily available. Highly recommend.

These brakes are a great option for reviving an old bike or new build and getting some solid hydraulic stopping power at a low price. I bought these brakes for building up my size large 2009 Giant Trance X3 and the hoses were a good length. Installing was easy and while I haven't tested the brakes much the pull is good and they stop well!Would recommend!

I had an old bike with some Avid brakes that were done. I needed something cheap and easy to replace them. These worked great, easy to install front was a direct bolt on, took about 3 minutes. The rear was a little more complicated because it ran through the frame. It was easy to do, I already had Shimano bleed stuff. The reason I knocked off 1 star is these don't come with an extra olive and hose barb, which most people will need if they are going to take the brakes apart and route through a frame or if they need to shorten them. They are readily available and cheap to buy, but it woul dhave been nice if they were included. Aside from that they work great.
