Some water baths can get pretty expensive, which makes no sense to me. Thermoregulation is not a difficult thing to achieve with basic technology from the 40s, and stir plates are equally easy to produce. This water bath/ magnetic stirrer combo does both tasks fairly decently. I have noticed that the calibration on the temperature probe is a little bit off, since I'm comparing it against two other high end calibrated temperature probes. They are not off by a lot, but it might matter for some very specific testing. The stir plate works decently too, so that's fine. It's a good starter water bath for a laboratory.
