I like to purchase my John Deere parts and expendables from Hartville Hardware because they deliver genuine John Deere OEM parts at great prices. This oil filter is for my 1995 LX-172 tractor and has provided me plenty of engine protection for almost 30 years now. I change the oil and filter at the end of every season. Never a problem with fit or performance.

I liked the great price. And convience of delivery to my home. I stock 2-3 of these filters in my garage. I have them when I want them. I do not have to drive 1 hour to store to get them. This saves me time and money. You can do this too.

I am not sure what the critics see but these are in a John Deere box and the box says Made in USA. The filters stickers may look different than the one you took off but manufacturers are always changing stickers and products. They fit perfectly and don't leak and look like they are filtering the oil.

I went to my John Deere dealer to get some replacement blades and an oil filter (AM107423) for the seasonal maintenance. I got the blades but no filter as they said they couldn't get them from JD. They did try and up sell me to a non-JD filter for $18.00! I declined and found the exact filter(s) I needed here. The filter is a perfect match for the filter on my tractor and this 2-pack was less than one of stealerships filters! I now have a new source for replacement filters as the price was great and the shipping was very fast.
