Despite the description, this lid DOES NOT fit the 'Joyce Chen 21-9977, Classic Series Nonstick Wok, 14-Inch'.$56 dollars wasted. Thanks. Please update your description to avoid other people wasting money.

very pleased with the quality. The handles even come off so I can season it in the oven or BBQ, and use it pretty much anywhere indoors or out where I have a source of very hot heat. I have a gas stove but I still prefer the flat bottom because that’s what I’m used to. I use a bit more oil, but it’s worth it to me.

Well... I saw it being advertised for a 15" wok... so I bought it.... but it's definitely not the right size! You want the wok to be covered completely, not a cover that falls inside of it. It's a good cover in the end, didn't like the material too much... in the end I always prefere see through tops, so that I can check on the food without lifting the top every 5 minutes... For my purpose it was not right. NOT really for a 15" wok like mentioned.

Mine came in good standing, but it is very slightly tinier than 14-inch. I don't know if it's intended, but it does make it a bit difficulty to place on top of my Joyce Chen 23-0001 wok. It's a very minor complaint for me, though. It's kinda cheap too compared to the wok itself, but it works just as intended.

I purchased this because I was looking for a cheap, lightweight lid for my 14" carbon steel wok. I was originally using a flat glass lid of the same size, but it didn't fit well on top and would sometimes slide into whatever I was cooking. I decided it was time to upgrade to an actual wok lid. Based on the price and the reviews, I decided to go with this one.I've been using this lid for a few months now and haven't encountered any real problems. I really enjoy this lid. It fits perfectly on my 14" wok, the dome lid allows enough space to have the wok overly full while cooking, and the lid is so lightweight you can store it anywhere or on top of anything with ease.One issue I've noticed is with the knob on the lid. It tends to get loose after using it each time. Is this a problem? No. It is so easy to hold the screw and tighten the knob a bit after each wash and if you take care of it gently each time, you shouldn't have to worry about it completely stripping the knob.I'm not sure if this is dishwasher safe, but it is easy to clean with a quick wipe of a damp sponge. I tend to not let it soak in the sink or scrub it with anything abrasive, but I'm not sure if that is completely necessary. I also dry it immediately after I wipe it and usually let it sit on the heat of the stove top for a few seconds to warm it up and evaporate any extra water the towel may have missed (mainly on the rolled edge.)For the price, you can't go wrong. I would recommend this to anybody looking for good quality wok lid.

We bought a cast iron wok from Lodge, and this lid was recommended to go with it. It's a perfectly fine lid--fits on the 14-inch Lodge wok and does what it is supposed to do: keep grease from flying all over tarnation. I was surprised when I was looking for lids on Amazon to see that many lids had mediocre ratings. You would not think it is that hard to make a lid. Some people have mentioned in their reviews that the handle on this one has gone loose on them. I could see that this could happen in time. The little wooden handle attaches with a small screw, and I could imagine that over time the screw perhaps will get "stripped" and will not be able to be tightened (a similar thing seems to sometimes happen to knobs on cabinets, etc.). I suppose I would feel better if the handle were permanently attached. Certainly this would better complement the royally boss Lodge wok, which looks like you could drop it off a building and would be none the worse for the wear. In any case, this lid seems fine. No complaints.

I bought this paired with the Lodge Pro-Logic P14W3 Iron Wok. I figured it would fit snug like my normal tops do. It doesn't but it seems to work just fine. About 1.5 inches of the wok rise above the edge of the steel dome. It works, is sturdy, and the wood handle makes it easy to handle without the need for gloves.My only disappointment (which I didn't take a star off for) was that it was shipped with the Lodge Wok. The Wok was nicely boxed up and safe. The Dome was in an unsealed plastic bag and kind of tossed in the larger outer box. I think it is a testament that the Steel Dome survived the shipping with that heavy iron wok pounding it for the trip to my home.Edit: OK... after writing the review a friend had a good laugh at me. Apparently a Wok top is suppose to sit 1.5 inches down inside the wok. So... upon further consideration... It think this fits perfect with what I have been told.

I just wanted to provide a few words to allay the concerns that other reviewers have expressed about the condition of their dome wok lids upon delivery. I ordered this Joyce Chen wok lid as well as the Lodge cast iron 14" wok at the same time. Shipping was handled by UPS and it was FREE. Both items were shipped in the same container and BOTH arrived in MINT CONDITION. I was a bit concerned that my dome wok lid might have suffered some of the same 'rough handling' that others may have experienced. However, there was not a ding, not a scratch, not a dent and no bending or wharping that affected my wok lid what so ever! I now have a perfect dome lid for my 14" Lodge cast iron wok AND my 14" T-Fal non-stick aluminum wok which I have owned and enjoyed for several months already. I tip my hat to the good folks at Amazon, Joyce Chen, Lodge and UPS for the most professional manufacturing, salemanship, packing, handling and prompt delivery of my order. I am looking forward to lots of adventurous, exciting and tasty cooking excursions ahead. Cheers to all concerned!
