Bought this for my Ka Bar SEABEE USN mark I knife to replace the plastic one it comes with make sure you order the Ka Bar short USMC fighting knife size it fits perfectly

This sheath is made well with good leather and stitching. Good dye job too. Needs to be fitted to the knife, but that is normal. Way better than the Chinese ones otherwise available.

As a child of the 50's and 60's, camping was always an annual event for my Family....and my Father always packed his WW2 Era Military knife on those adventures....He was a Navy Veteran so I'm thinking it was the Navy version of the Army combat knife...in a leather sheath...just like this Ka-Bar sheath...which now holds my trusty 5 1/4in SOG knife....a perfect fit. (Between you and me...I didn't care for the plastic scrap that came with the SOG...)

High-quality leather with rivets and fits my old hunting knife perfectly. The only reason I knocked it down a star (to 4) is the handle strap. I guess this should have somehow been made adjustable in the first place. Mine is now. Other people on here claimed to have soaked the strap in Neatsfoot oil and then easily stretched it. I received the sheath and, sure enough, the strap was way too short. The rest of the sheath is clearly hunting-knife size, but that strap was so short it was as though they designed it for one of those skinny stiletto handles. Anyway, thought I, no biggie. I'll just do the Neatsfoot oil & stretch. Well, mine did not stretch at all, but it did tear. I cut the thing off, including the rivet and bolted on a Velcro strap. Works great. Fully adjustable.

Not much to say. Nice, well built leather sheath. Fits my 1966 Camillus Pilot's Survival Knife perfectly. As others have stated, the snap strap is a bit short, but a coating of Neatsfoot oil and it stretched to a perfect fit.

Got this because I had a garage sale knife that needed a sheath. I'd never heard of Ka-Bar so just gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality given the affordable price. It's genuine leather, heavy, with good strong stitching and that real leather smell. Looks cool when worn on the belt and gets the job done. I'll definitely check into other Ka-Bar products.
