Okay, here's a review of the Kanu Surf Boys' Echo Quick Dry UPF 50+ Beach Swim Trunks, based on the information available and common expectations for boys' swimwear:The Kanu Surf Boys' Echo Swim Trunks appear to be a well-rounded option for parents looking for comfortable, functional, and protective swimwear for their kids. Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons, based on the typical features of similar products:Pros:UPF 50+ Sun Protection: This is a major selling point. UPF 50+ is excellent, blocking out 98% of harmful UV rays, helping to protect delicate skin during long days at the beach or pool. This provides peace of mind for parents.Quick Drying Fabric: The "Quick Dry" claim is crucial for kids' swimwear. No one wants to stay in soaking wet trunks all day. Quick-drying fabric helps prevent chafing and discomfort, especially after swimming.Comfortable Fit: Kanu Surf is generally known for comfortable designs. It's likely the trunks have a comfortable elastic waistband and a relaxed fit that allows for freedom of movement during play.Durable Construction: Hopefully made with good quality materials and stitching helps them hold up to the wear and tear kids put on their swimsuits.Harbor Green Color: The "Harbor Green" color is a nice, versatile shade that isn't overly trendy, making them a good long-term investment.Size 18-20 US: This size caters to older boys, a demographic often overlooked in kids' swimwear.Likely Affordable Price Point: Kanu Surf is often positioned as an affordable brand, making these trunks a good value for the features offered.Cons:Potential for Fading: While the Harbor Green color is nice, darker colors in swimwear can sometimes fade with repeated exposure to chlorine and sunlight.Liner Quality: The quality of the inner mesh liner can vary. A poorly designed or uncomfortable liner can be a deal-breaker for some kids.Durability (Long Term): While likely durable, the long-term durability remains to be seen after multiple washes and wears, especially with active kids.Style limitations: While the color is nice, the overall style might be considered basic or lacking in trendy details for some boys.Overall:The Kanu Surf Boys' Echo Quick Dry UPF 50+ Beach Swim Trunks seem like a great choice for parents prioritizing sun protection, comfort, and affordability. The quick-drying fabric and comfortable fit are essential for keeping kids happy during water activities. While style might be less of a focus, the solid color and likely durable construction make these trunks a practical and reliable option.Recommendations:Check the care instructions to prolong the life of the color and fabric.Consider purchasing multiple pairs to rotate and extend the lifespan of each pair.Look closely at the liner construction (if possible before purchasing) to ensure comfort. It's important to always check sizing charts and read customer reviews when available, to ensure the best fit and get insights into the actual durability and comfort of the product.

My son now wears a youth size 16 pants (adjustable) and these trunks still fit him well. The waist on the suit adjusts with a draw string, so just keep an eye on that as your child grows. We like the colors-they are bright and don’t fade and the pattern is great. The suit also dries quickly and I think the quality of the fabric is pretty good!

We bought these last year when my 9yo was a size 8. I read the reviews and sized up. The 10/12 in these trunks fit perfectly. Good quality. No tears or other irregularities. Adjustable waist. Pretty colors. Now my son normally wears a 10/12, so I'm hoping the 14/16 works this time.

My son was very excited to receive these swim shorts. We have owned other pairs from the same brand and he LOVES them. They are very comfortable, quick to dry, the adjustable waist makes it easy to customize the fit, the colors are bright and vivid, and they really hold up well. I will say that the lining is a bit abrasive, but we just cut the mesh out to avoid the friction rashes that were experienced before.

I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on the kids' swim trunks I recently purchased for my little one. As a parent of a smaller child, finding swimwear that fits perfectly can sometimes be a challenge. However, I am thrilled to say that these swim trunks have exceeded my expectations! The sizing is spot on, especially for smaller kids. My little one is on the petite side, and the trunks fit him exceptionally well. The attention to detail in design and sizing truly caters to the needs of younger swimmers, providing a snug and comfortable fit.Not only does the sizing impress, but the quality and durability of the material make these swim trunks a reliable choice. I appreciate the thoughtful design that ensures my child can move freely and comfortably in the water.Overall, I highly recommend these swim trunks for parents of little swimmers. It's a relief to find a product that not only meets but exceeds expectations, especially when it comes to sizing for smaller children.

Love these trunks! Color is true to pics and the quality is great. They have a drawstring to make them smaller so you might want to size up. I read other reviews about them being on the smaller side but didn’t want to size up to the 14 from the 10/12. Maybe i should have. My son is currently wearing belts with all his other 10/12 pants but these shorts were a perfect fit…no need for the drawstring to cinch them. But, we will likely only get one summer out of them where we would have gotten two out of the 14. But, I am happy with the purchase since they do fit so nice and are a great looking pair of trunks with a longer length on the legs, which I like. Definitely the big kid board shorts my son likes.

My grandson is tall but skinny - four and a half yrs. old, but can wear a 3 in shorts. These swim trunks are very nice (size 4) but fit a little snugly. It's okay when they're dry but are a little hard to get down when wet (for a bathroom break - which in cold water can be frequent). Actually, he needs help getting them down and back up.But they look good and he does like them, so yes, I'd recommend them and would buy them again. Maybe buy a size up and just tighten the string.Update: I totally loosened the cord at the waist and it was a little easier for him to get them down - altho, he still needed help getting them back up once they were wet. The cord isn't really needed, could take it out, except you'd have to replace it with something to tie in front just for appearance sake.
