Making a custom snake tank and I used the string and clips to latch down the lid and add reinforcements to the doors. It is a nice kit as it does have multiple different clips made to hold the bungie cord. Value wise you get a lot more than what you would originally expect. I didn't read much on the product before hand but once it arrived I was pleased with what I paid for.

Very handy to have around for a lot of different projects. Well made and they work perfectly. I’ve replaced several on a bunch of winter coats and used them on some A/C covers and BBQ covers. They hav survived our winters in northern Canada

Used to replace worn shock cord on two pairs of adult pants and to replace drawstrings on 2 pairs of toddler pants - I mean, who puts a drawstring on pants for a 3 year old. Worked well for both applications The shock cord is thicker than what you usually see on clothing, but I liked that. It can provide a good sturdy hold or less firm based on how you adjust the tightness with the cord lock. Best way to cut it is with a hot knife. I can see how fraying might be an issue if you cut with a regular sharp knife or scissors, but a hot knife melts the ends as it cuts and gives a nice professional feeling finish. Can be tricky to feed the shock cord into some of the cord locks. With the exception of the two hole variety, the holes are barely big enough for two cords to fit in, but they will and all the different cord locks worked well for me once you got the cord into them. It probably doesn't stretch quite as far as thinner shock cord - at least it seems that way. I haven't compared them side by side, but I think the extra strength is worth it.

Bungee CordThe bungee cord is a little thicker than I thought, and the cord has a lot of tension. It is not as stretchy as I had hoped for. When cutting the cord, the edges tend to unravel and you are left with an unpleasant looking end ( this may not matter depending on how you plan to use it). You can resolve this issue by using a lighter and sealing the end of the cable so it does not continue to unravel.Plastic Cord LocksThe cord locks perform as expected. Due to the thickness of the bungee cord, the locks may slip a little bit, but it was not that big of an issue for my use. I found that the lock with 2 holes worked the bestHow did I use the Bungee cord?I have a pair of jogger pants and the elastic around the ankles are a little too loose. They do not have any bungee tightening mechanism, so I figured I would try to make my own. I am happy with the results, but if I were to do it again I would probably purchase a cord that is half the thickness of this cord.
