This cassette is great. The usual that you would expect from Shimano. Great product and quality at a great price. No need to buy expensive parts that will perform just as good as lower end parts. Shimano makes great products top to bottom. This cassette is one of these great products.

It's getting harder and harder to find 9 speed components. I'd worn out the original cassette on my bike and this replacement filled the bill nicely. After 2 months on the bike, I've had no issues at all.

Excelente maquinado y cambios suaves, la relación más amplia, sin poner pata al desviador trasero, que permite Shimano en ésta velocidad, ya montado se ve hermoso.

Product arrived well packaged in 3 days. I'm fairly mechanical, but new to working on bikes. Easy to install. Needed lower gears on my late sons GT FORCE which he bought and rode in Texas that had 3x chainring and 11x32. Seemed to suit him well riding here in the Sierra Nevada also but my 55 year old body needed a little help. The 12x36 makes a big difference. Worked with original chain length which had minimal wear. Made only a couple small adjustments on barrel adjuster while on stand. Went out and rode with grandson in dirt, mud, and snow and couldn't be happier with shifting. Would definately recommend this cassette if you need just a little more power for climbing.

Quite inexpensive, got mine for $23. Very light cassette, love the 12-36 range and the specific tooth counts of each ring. This replaced an 11-32 cassette on one of my recumbent bikes. I don’t miss the slightly higher highest gear at all, barely used it anyway. I love the lower lowest gear which makes climbing steep hills easier. There is no huge jump in tooth count between the largest and second-largest rings as there is on many “megarange” cassettes so shifting is smoother and moving between those two rings is less jarring to your cadence. Of course I hope this cassette is tough and durable and lasts at least as long as the new chain I installed at the same time but it’s so inexpensive that if I have to replace it a little more often I won’t mind that much.

Your cassettes wear out after a few thousand miles and it really effects shifting, its an often overlooked replacement. This cassette is durable looking, a bit heavy (tradeoff for durability) but that doesn't matter if you aren't running time trials or some kind of OCD freak who never really enjoys life. The 36 toothed cog really helps in steep climbs and is about the max you can comfortably stretch a 3x9 drivetrain (I tried a 40 and it was not great). You might need to get a longer b-limit screw but DONT buy a specifically marketed B-screw, just take yours to Ace Hardware and get a longer one taking care to match the thread (shimano is in metric units) by screwing on nuts to test - it will cost less than $1. The 12 toothed smaller cog is better for strong or large riders than 11, its a little less speedy but the chain won't be prone to skip on forceful pedal strokes.

Shifts great, even with my Tourney tx10 rear derailleur. I did have to adjust the screw on the back of the derailleur all the way in to get it to shift onto the 36 tooth gear. Now my heavy 29er glides up hills just like my 26". It really evens out the gear ratios perfectly, on paper and out on the trail. The only bad thing about it would be the way the gears interface with the freewheel. Each cog fits onto the freewheel separately, so you need to use a steel freewheel or it will eat into the freewheel body, when the cassette bolts eventually loosen. One other concern is the way the cassette is constructed, the bigger cogs are very long and might have a tendency to flex, but the new spacers help because they are wider than traditional ones and should strengthen it almost as well as a spider type cluster. So if you're on a tight budget, and need real mountain gear ratios for your 9 speed 29er, this is the one you need.
