After 15 miles check engine on

I have tried and reviewed several of these on my Honda Element, as it is an important part that can leave you stranded or limping home. I always carry a spare, and have continually been trying to find the best alternative to OEM. This one has lasted 3,000 miles to this point, and I have no reason to believe it will fail. My experience is that if they are going to fail, it will happen within the first few hundred miles. If you're looking at one of these valves, you probably already know this but.....this little device can cause your check engine light to come on - and then limit your RPM's to something around 2700 - putting you into "limp mode". Many videos are available on-line. If your Element is lagging or lurching when you try to accelerate (or if you threw code P2646) this is the first place to start.....though it may only be that the filter is clogged with debris. (this part includes the filter, but it can be purchased separately). It is a very easy installation, you need only a 10mm socket to remove 3 bolts. They are a little hard to reach, but you can do this yourself and save unnecessary shop fees.Bottom line: This one has proven to me it is a good valve at a good price. Here is the one I have tested so far that has gone almost 10,000 miles: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2BV1IIA80JAL3
