This is my favorite new shoe because it is so supportive for my semi narrow feet. I recommend it for seniors like me who need truly sturdy supportive shoes that don’t hurt your ankles because they’re low height with good arch support and leave room to adjust the thickness of your socks.

usually a Keen fan and have purchased the Terra boot multiple times. Tried the runner version - it’s like walking with concrete wrapped around my foot!

I had to give these up, they were the first Keen's I've had that I couldn't break in. I felt like I was going to injure my foot if I kept wearing them.I should have listened to the reviews and gotten a half size larger. The toe box is narrow. I am working on breaking them in and I think they will be fine, just can't wear too thick socks. They do appear to be waterproof. I have walked my dog through damp grass and they have stayed dry. They are comfortable, if a little tight, but are loosening up.

These are my new favorite shoes. I needed a pair of supportive shoes for my plantar fasciitis, and I’ve always loved the fit of my keen hiking boots. Hiking boots are too clunky, though, for every day use, and I just don’t like the look of them in most settings. These look great and are lower profile, but give the same support as the boots and are lighter.Sizing note: go a half-size up! I listened to earlier reviews and am thankful I did. I’m usually a 5.5/6 (my other keens are a 6) but i bought these in a 6.5 and they fit perfectly.

UPDATE: taking away the 3 stars because I bought them mid May and the rubber toe and sides are disintegrating. And they no longer are even water resistant. Socks are soaked and now trying to stay off the grass fields as much as possible. And this is the only time I wear them. I change into my "work" shoes as soon as I get home (of course after removing socks, letting my feet dry and changing into new ones. Was hoping they would last a year, but looks as if I'm going to have to start looking for another brand and another shoe. So disappointed.Gave them 3 stars because they are not waterproof, but water repellent. I walk my "kids" around sunrise in the park every morning, through the ball field which is mowed every week and still my socks are wet on the sides when I get home. I've only had them for a few weeks and this walk is their only task. I also have narrow feet and no company makes a narrow hiking shoe so I have to wear a sock and a footsie type thing. All that negativity and I still find them comfortable. Don't think I could wear them all day, but...my last pair last only a year before leaking and pulling away from the sides...and twice as expensive so these look and feel promising.

I've worn this brand for a number of years. They have changes the design of the hiking shoe, The toe box is a bit narrower than before. The arch insert is uncomfortable for me. Due to the narrower toe box, I did have to size up a half a size and with a change of the inserts the shoe is very comfortable. I have flatter and narrow feet and this SPECIFIC style from Keene runs narrower in general. It's the only hiking shoe I can wear from Keene since all others are far too wide for my narrow foot. Even though I have a narrow foot I really like shoes, sneakers, boots with a wider toe box otherwise I find my toes jam or rub in the shoe. Especially hiking down inclines! My toes are very long and my second toe extends more than my big toe and when you combine that with a narrow foot...I always have issues with hiking shoe fit!! I have always liked the breathability of this hiking shoe although it is waterproof so expect some sweating of your foot. My major negative is the hiking shoe fabric on the outside deteriorates quickly and forms holes that grow and compromise the waterproofing. It's a big problem and bummer! hiking shoes are expensive. When I say quickly ...I mean months with not a ton of use. It's definitely a negative and my only hope is that they have improved the material because I know I am not the only person with this complaint. I have tried other brands of hiking shoes and unfortunately I don't love the fit. Out of the box, no break in period and comfort are essential for hiking and that is why I come back to this style/brand. 4 stars because I did need to replace the inserts and I had to size up due to the toe box being narrower. As far as durability...we will see if the fabric holds up.

Likes:Plain ColorWaterproofing worked wellI didn’t have to stop walking because laces were flopping around or coming untied, like I often used to with KeensDislikedThe Heel moved while walking. Blisters on both heels after a leisurely 3 mile walk on flat terrain i.e. my feet weren’t sweaty or anything,Tight and pointy toebox (very off-brand for keens) Stiff/Hard to adjust/tighten and loosen with laces, just generally not comfy like my old Keens*Way* too Expensive! for ordinary walking shoes. I’ve lucked out twice in the past & gotten Keens affordably before at things like a rock-climbing fundraiser ($40), and an REI garage sale ($11), at those prices I didn’t mind the way they basically fall apart, at least I wanted to wear them all the time. 150$? is obscene. Glad I ordered some La Sportiva trail runners as a backup, they fit well, are light, have great traction, are easier to put in a suitcase and cost a lot less. I’m also reverting back to my original belief that waterproofing is not really necessary & not worth the stiffness - I’m walking for a relatively short time, and wet trail shoes dry out quickly when stuffed with paper.
