The purpose of a footprint is to provide additional protection to the floor of your tent, increasing the longevity of the tent, even if the footprint sometimes needs replacement. In this case, this performs the job adequately.Size and weight wise, this is rather small and light. It's not much thicker than the rain fly for the matching tent, and comes in a package about 6" square with it's own pouch. Set up is easy, since there isn't much more to this than spread it out and then set up the tent on top. Personally, this kind of item should be a standard inclusion in tent packages. The one key to watch for is the color coded corner. One corner is orange instead of the grey-green, and this should match the similarly colored corner on the front of the tent. If not, then you either have the tent backwards, or the footprint is upside down.Storage wise, I pretty quickly disregarded the separate pouch, and ended up storing the footprint in with the tent in it's carrying bag. Because I motorcycle camp, this was a space saving option for me, and if I need to set up in the rain, I don't need to empty my entire pannier trying to find the pouch that inevitably sank to the bottom of the box. I do recommend carrying the pouch still to isolate a wet or dirty footprint from the rest though.

The outer package says Grand Mesa 2 but the actual item inside the package is the Grand Mesa 4

Nice and light/compact/easy to pack. Did it's job on fairly rough ground. perfectly good for 2 man tent, but won't extend into any vestibule unless you run a 1 man tent. with a vestibule on the long side.

Just as described, fits the kelty mesa 2 haven't had the chance to use it yet but should do just fine and as described.
