Perfect replacement for my worn-out Milwaukee M18 drill chuck. Watch the videos and don't rush or force it, and job done in 5 minutes. Now my bits stay in the *@#$@#$ chuck and don't spin out! Seriously thinking of getting the drill press version for my Powermatic, like this one that much.

After having my drill for years and using it occasionally the chuck started making an odd clicking sound. I removed it and was able to hear something very small rattling inside. It was difficult to find the right size thread for my drill so I took a chance on a cheaper chuck and had to return it. This one is the right size. Make sure you do your homework to figure out which size you need.The quality seems sturdy. Much heavier than the stock one made of plastic as much as possible. More expensive than cheaper ones that still use plastic but less than half the price of a new drill. Action seems smooth. The grip offers a lot to hang on to.

Will have to give it the test of time, but so far I’m impressed. Feels like low tolerance roller bearing internals, hope the jaws withstand pressure needed to drill into metals without bit slippage. Will update at a later time.

Title pretty much sums it up, very happy with the chuck!Attached a couple of pictures of my Dewalt DCD799 with this chuck installed and the old plastic chuck besides for comparison.Installation is easy, the hardest part is removing the old chuck which has nothing to do with this product.Only con would have to be expensive shipping and long shipping time, but that was expected since I live in Norway.

Reasonable shipping. Clean look. Install went well. Smooth operation. I am hopeful it works under load just as well as it appears to. Grabs even small bits firmly and cinches down/releases well.

Heard so many good words on German mechanical quality, bought this chuck even though it cost a lot more than others. It turned out that this purchase was a big mistake. I had it for less than 3 months, and used only occasionally as a homeowner. Now the jaws of the chuck could not be opened/closed manually. The manufacture (Rohm Products of America) would not honor the warranty, unless I could approve that it is the build quality issue. Not recommend this item to any one.
