While most trainers take these efforts away from you, Kinetic by Kurt's Rock And Roll Trainer mimics these natural movements. When you add this Kinetic Turntable Riser Ring, youAAAre forced to work those same upper body muscles to keep the front wheel in alignment with the frame. This is part of the "road feel" equation and you'll appreciate it when you're sprinting and standing.The Turntable Riser Ring is a PVC circle that has slots of four different heights. The four heights range from 1/2in to 2in from the floor. All can accommodate a tire up to 2.25in in width. The ring sits atop a "Lazy Susan" style turntable that swivels freely.The Kinetic by Kurt Turntable Riser Ring is Black and is 9in in diameter. It can be used with other trainers, though the swiveling benefit of using the turntable ring with fixed-style trainers is negligible.

Since 2020, I have been spinning at home on my road bike using a trainer by Kinetic. The trainer itself is awesome and I highly recommend it. My PT recommended that I use the riser ring for the front wheel and it has been a great way to secure and adjust the front wheel, especially when standing on the bike. I ahve been using it for the past 3 years and am very happy with it.

The build quality of this seems fine... especially the "crown" of the ring which seems very sturdy. The ring diameter is maybe a couple inches narrower than the non-turntable version. If this is what your are looking for it should be excellent assuming the bearings hold up.... maybe keep grease on those.The price is outstanding for what you get.For me.... i thought the turntable moniker was because it was round not because it was on bearings....I was actually looking for more stability, not less, so I am disappointed to have to return this and keep hunting. For my personal requirements I could have given 5 stars. Very sturdy and well made. I did not need or want the rotational capabilities of this stand. Fifth star withheld because rotating base component was not installed. All parts required were in package. No assembly instructions provided. It looked as though someone began installing the base and then returned the product but the plastic bag containing the parts was sealed? Either poor quality control at distribution or poor quality control processing an earlier return. I checked the product description and there is no indication of "assembly required". Again, for my needs this was a perfect transaction since I was not required to uninstal the rotational ring. I suspect other customers may be less satisfied.

It's a circle with slots in it. Best circle with slots I've ever purchased. Would purchase again. Worth north of $50? Debatable. But I don't have time to go shopping for circles with slots locally and the local slotted circle store didn't have anything like it in stock. Satisfied customer. Doubles as flying ring frizbee.

I give this 5 stars because it works perfect for indoor training, gives you different levels to set your front wheel at, and the rotation means your bars are never pointed off in the wrong direction. It's def on the pricey side, but overall 5 stars because it is the perfect front wheel block.

El confinamiento me obligó a usar mi nuevo rodillo indoor y estuve valorando la compra de un soporte delantero para la rueda, pese a que no le veía ventaja alguna... Tras leer y leer, descubrí éste modelo de Kinetic que tiene la particularidad de ser pesado y robusto, todo metálico, no un pedazo de plástico chinorris en forma de almeja, además gira sobre su propio eje, es como un cilindro dentro de otro, y que permite elegir entre 3 diferentes alturas para adecuar la bici a tu ergonomía... No puedo estar más contento.Leo comentarios de que si es muy caro, son 30€ para soportar en muchos casos bicis de 1/2/3.000€ como mínimo, y luego os gastáis 400€ en gadgets de carbono para rebajarle 80g a la burra...Lo dicho, si buscas uno, éste de Kinetic es de lo mejor

Works just as advertised. Almost works too well when used in conjunction with the new mountain bike trail on Zwift as it moves very easily. However, it does work just like it’s supposed to and features very sturdy construction. If you like to stand and crank when pedaling then this really lets you get into the action.

My unit arrived missing some nuts and falling apart. I had some spare washers and nuts that were the right size to repair it, but for the price I'd expect better than 'old thing I found at a garage sale' quality. In addition, the rubber feet underneath are on the small side - so while they help it grip the floor or mat surface a little, it's not enough. Some better and more tacky rubber underlayment would improve it quite a bit.The friction of the bearings is about right, though - a little coarse, so your bike wheel still feels controlled but you can turn the bars more readily than bare floor. Overall, I'd give it a 'meh'. If you can find a used one cheap, that might be the way to go.

This riser allows the wheel to move, it works well with the Mountain bike section in Zwift and I'm sure will be used in more sections of Zwift as steering is implemented.
