Kingston synthetic Art brushes have been my go to. I’ve used both the Radiant and the Gold. I purchased the complete set on sale a couple years ago. Never a regret. The edges have become frayed from use and I’m replacing the ones used most. I’ll buy them again when needed. I’m an intermediate watercolor painter. We all like what we like and I prefer these.

I've enjoyed watercolor for over 20 years, and there is nothing better than having good brushes, except for good paint, oh, and the best paper...but brushes really matter! The general rule of thumb that I follow when painting is to use the largest brush you can get away with for the job you need to do. 2" brushes for large surface washes, etc. Sometimes, however, you have a job that requires an extremely fine-tipped brush. That's where this brush comes in.Have you ever thought you were done with a painting and it still didn't look quite right? That's often because a few tiny details still need to be added, and once they are there, the whole thing comes together. This size of brush is crucial for producing fine lines, strategically placed tiny dots, etc. And this brush does those things well.Every painter needs a brush this small, for when those jobs come along, and this brush fills those jobs admirably.5 stars!

I have been having a very fun time learning all about painting especially watercolor and acrylic painting. This is a new world for me. I am trying hard to learn to use my brushes correctly and to treat them right so they will give me a proper amount of service. My husband has done painting and he checks out the brushes that I get and tells me the quality of them. It is hard as a 'newbie' to the art world to correctly know how well this brush works, but I do appreciate the opportunity to try it and use it. With hubby's help, I am hoping to use the brushes that I have gotten with the proper mediums. This one's for watercolor and is being used with my KingArt watercolor set.Incidentally, one of the things that I was most surprised to see in the many instructional videos that I have seen, I notice that so many artists use watercolor paints in the small pans of color and mix the paint in the palettes that come with the watercolors. I had always thought that those watercolor sets were cheap sets for children! I guess I was wrong about that!

Nice brush with a good shape, very capable for fine lines and detail work. The hairs clean easily and the brush feels nice in hand.Packaging is not great, the brush is shipped in a plastic sleeve and padded envelope. Mine arrived undamaged but be sure to inspect your brush when you receive it.

I use these brushes for modeling, and while standard model brushes from Testors work well for a majority of my work, liner brushes like this one are perfect for those tiny little details that you just can't ensure will come out correctly with a larger brush. Rivets on a sheet of metal; embossed lines between what would be parts in real life; sure, I could use a pencil, but sometimes it looks better to have a gloss of color in such locations. With the KingArt brush, I can usually count on not having any brush hairs go astray.
