I wear a sun gaiter under my ski helmet every day when I ski and the majority of the time I am fly fishing. I have no interest in having skin issues and a gaiter is great in preventing this. I generally wear HUK gaiters but they have not been available recently on their website so I decided to give this one a try.One thing this has as a benefit over the HUK gaiters is it has mouth holes cut out to help prevent sunglasses or goggle fog up when moving around.What I don't like about it is that it is significantly tighter than the HUK gaiters and causes some squishing of my nose while wearing it. It would be uncomfortable to wear for a full day of skiing or fishing.If you have a smaller face this will likely work great for you but it won't be the main one I grab when going out.

These appear to be intended for warmer weather, but I have been wearing mine in 35-45 degrees for long bike rides and found it was plenty warm to keep the chill off my face. I appreciated the holes which did make breathing through the fabric easier than the standard kind and also the hour glass shape that made it fit more snugly around my face and neck. It stayed up well during my ride, despite me not being able to pull it up all the way in the back due to my hair, and was easy to lower and pull up over my nose one handed depending how I was feeling. Pretty blue color, and came out of the wash looking exactly as before. I anticipate using it in warmer weather just to keep the sun off my face as the fabric is pretty light weight.

A neck gaiter that comes over the face up to nose level is a great idea. Even better are the ventilation holes near the mouth and nose. These holes allow easy breathing and if you wear sunglasses they will not fog up. This gaiter can be used in all seasons. In summer it provides protection from the sun. And in cooler weather it also provides a level of warmth when you are outdoors kayaking, fishing, biking, hiking, jogging, doing yard work, etc. The material is silky smooth and the gaiter stays in place when slipped over the nose and back of the head. The blue water camo design is another plus and fits right in when I'm fishing on the kayak. Good quality, good fit and good functionality all add up to a well-designed product. I highly recommend it.

I ordered this for my son for our fishing trips in sunny and buggy areas. It fits him perfectly. This covers your ears, nose, lower face, and neck. Combined with a hat and sunglasses, you are bug proof and safe from the sun. The material breathes nicely and is a minimal thickness, so it will work in all types of weather. This is exactly what we were hoping for. A great product for anyone who fishes!

Everything you need at a fantastic price. You have to be very careful with what you buy from Kingfisher as they do have some really poor quality products, but they also have some great buys as is the case with this one. When it comes to a gator, it just needs to be light weight, breathable, and fit well enough to stay where you put it. This checks all the boxes and at a fantastic price point. In my opinion, most of the other manufacturers want more than these are worth for such a basic product so this is a great find.
