These speakers sound great when you find the "sweet spot" with placement. If they sound tinny or muffled, they're probably too close together. Don't worry about having them too far away from each other, they'll easily fill a good sized room. They're very detailed, especially with intimate classical music such as solo piano or guitar and small string concertos. If you lean more towards heavy rock music, the higher the volume the better the sound. AC/DC's "Shoot to Thrill" sounded great through an Onkyo 100 watt receiver at a volume level at about 70. Absolutely shook the house with no real need for any type of sub and felt like they had plenty of more room to go. The high sensitivity make these things very loud with no noticeable distortion. I currently have them paired with a lower end receiver and love them.

The sound field is very narrow. Sound dispersion is totally frontal. When I tried them out of the box, I heard very little sound. They were on the floor & I was standing, but when I sat on the carpet in front of them, they sounded very nice. VERY directional speakers...dispersion could have been better by design.

We had been running a VSX LX-105 as a 5.2.2 setup with a set of Andrew Jones Atmos speakers. Klipsch came out with updated speakers at an updated price and I found the previous year’s speakers on sale all over Amazon. We added a few at a time and after getting the first ones and being impressed with the quality and sound, we eventually got enough Klipsch Reference series to fit out our new LX-505 7.2.2 setup. We got two R-120SW subwoofers, a pair of RB-61 II fronts, a pair of R-40SA Atmos, a RC-62 II center and RIC-65 ceiling surrounds. All of them are heavy, quality speakers putting out impressive highs, mids and lows. Used the Dirac Live sound setup that came with the LX-505 and the resulting sound stage is perfect. Could not fault this setup in any way. Sooo glad we upgraded to the 505, Dirac and Klipsch.

This is really good speakers especially considering the price .Overall sound reproduction is fantastic ,There is a lot of clarity and openness to the sound and the credit goes to the horn tweeters .Sound stage is very wide and you can hear every single detail of the music you are listening to .Female vocals are superb on these ,it's like the singer is in the room with you ..Male vocals it depends on the tonality of the singer and how the recording was done but overall is good but not best to my ears .Bass is really good ,punchy and goes very deep to the point that you don't necessarily have to use a subwoofer .Also these speakers are very forgivable to poor recordings ,compared for example to other speakers that I had (Elac debut 2.0 b6.2) they liked only good recordings, you could here the quality degradation but not on the Klipsch it makes poor recordings sound good also .The only big issue I found is that these can be very bright depends on the recording of the songs .I encountered songs that I wasn't able to listen to in more than low volume because of this .So my recommendation is using warm amplifier and dac to compensate for the brightness .For movies its a match from heaven.. very very good ! ,its like you are in the movie and not just watching from the outside , I would have given it 10 stars for movies if possible :)Now after using them for 6 months I was getting tired of the brightness and I switched to another speakers The Triangle BRO3 that I found to be just perfect for music with the right balance of treble mid range and bass though less punchy and deep compared to the Klipsch .But still when I watch a movie I immediately switch to the Klipsch ,they are that good for movies !So bottom line is, if you have the right gear to compensate for the brightness these speakers are superb .

Sehr guter kompakt Lautsprecher von Klipsch, in gewohnter Manier. Bombastische Sound, satter Bass, kristallklare Höhen. Klipsch eben!

I started building my home Theatre slowly. Knowing it'd be Klipsch based, I wasn't new to their products as I've always loved the Reference Series detailed, expressive clear authoritative sound.I started with the newer series 5 1/4" Bookshelves as my space is very small. Those were more than enough to Rock my Music and Movies world! After reading reviews and having a quick audition of these, I decided to upgrade the Front Soundfeild with 6.5" bookshelves up there. These don't take up much space but certainly pound out a much more solidly grounded sound. They have a bigger woofer and a better sweater as it's Titanium rather than Aluminum. The aluminum tweeters are super crisp, versatile and rich and full sounding, however the Titanium are worth a bit more $ for sucre.I was so impressed by how much more sound was coming out of these babies that I decided the use a 6.5" model Klipsch for all my speakers. This model is now discontinued and replaced by the new RP 600M which has several improvements and enhancements, but I love these so much. The wonderful thing about investing in a good set of Klipsch speakers is that they are very efficient and put outa lot of quality sound without requiring massive amounts of amplification. Also these rebuilt really well, and will last you many years if loved, respected and taken care of. Don't hide them in a corner and stifle them! Pull them away from the walls and let them breathe out and express All your Music and Movies have to offer.Yes, in summary, I love these for many reasons without anything to complain about them.

Unglaublich, was diese - doch relativ kleinen - Kästchen leisten!

After searching for forever to find a suitable speaker to power my low powered valve amplifier I stumbled across these. True sensitivity is around 91-92db. These are perfect for valve/tube amps because they compliment the mellow, smooth sound from them. I would describe the sound as forward, entertaining and peppy ! These are well worth considering due to the great price and size.
