Broken chains happen and never in a convenient place. Carry one of these on every ride. Hope you don't need but it's insurance.

I don't know why Shimano doesn't make a quick connector for their 10 speed chains but the KMC Missing Link works on the XT 10 speed chains fine.

Liked the links, but KMC should have engraved "KMC" on the link. The packaging says KMC, but the links themselves look generic like any other link of this type. Makes me wonder if these are genuine.

Master Link comes 'together' ... If your chain isn't broken, you will need a special tool to separte the Master link to install .... My Trike chain was already broken, so Master Link easily slipped on ... To fasten the links, a tip: Place the chain on top where it goes ... Put one foot on brake, and guide chain with one hand (watch fingers to not get them caught in gear assembly) ... Then start to turn pedal with opposite foot while still braking ... Chain will effortlessly "snap" into place ... Ready to go!.
