I’ve dabbled in musical instruments all my life. Flute, cornet, a few different keyboards, some larger some smaller than this in fact, I have a 61 key under my bed and it’s great but sometimes I just wanna sit in bed and play something on my lap. Now this is a little larger than my lap, but I love the size of the keys and the size of the keyboard is great as well because I can hold it in my lap. I love the tone. I love the variety of sounds everything about it. I love having my headphones on and playing along withsome songs on my iPad. And this is something I think I’m going to stick with and really learn how to play like I’ve always wanted to. I may not end up playing lots of chords and stuff but right now I’m learning individual notes and having a wonderful time and getting much further than I’ve ever gotten before I really love this and I’m sure you will be happy with it too. It is very affordable as well. I did have trouble getting a case for it, but after typing it in many times on Amazon, I finally ordered one. The only one I found so far that I think fits it perfectly is a Bespeco BAG444MKB 44 Keys Keyboard bag I have not received yet. It cost $46.20 and is coming from Germany. Takes a couple of months it’s February and it’s due in August. But it is the only one I have seen the right fit for and it looks good and I think it’ll be perfect and worth waiting for. I made a bag out of a towel with a leather cord to cinch it at the top and that will hold it well until the bag comes.

I ordered this keyboard a few weeks ago. When it finally arrived, I tried to to place the batteries and it did not turn on. I bought new batteries to make sure it wasn't the problem and still wouldn't turn on. I bought the required cable the keyboard needed to be plugged in. Even that didn't work. Don't buy this

I originally learned how to play a keyboard with one of those old light up keyboards. This is nowhere near as useful as that one was. Learning on this would be rather difficult. There is a digital metronome in the little LCD screen, so that's fun. You can also adjust the tempo, which is useful. One odd thing is the song selection. You'd expect some well known classics, but you'll be rather surprised at what's there when you cycle through them. One of my favorite songs that I used to teach myself years ago with my light up keyboard was Für Elise. That's pretty much one of the first piano songs that comes to mind when you think of classical piano music. It's there, but it's some weird remix of it. If this is for a kid to learn, you probably don't want some confusing version. You can turn down the tempo and see which keys to press on that tiny little screen, but that it's a bit hard to follow that way.As far as sound goes, the speakers sound....ok. They definitely aren't great. They kind of sound like what you'd expect out of extremely cheap Bluetooth speakers. You can remedy that with an AUX cable. Oddly, it doesn't get very loud on headphones. I tried hooking it up to a sound system that gets VERY loud and it was fine. I think I'd rather hook it up to a large sound system instead of using headphones.I wouldn't recommend this for someone who is trying to learn, but it's a fun little thing for someone who already knows how to play. It's small, it's portable, and it does have a lot of different simulated instruments it can play.To actually power it, it comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable. The keyboard itself has a 9V DC input, but it doesn't actually come with an adapter. It's not going to work with your cell phone's charger in all likelihood. If you have a charger that is meant to rapidly charge your phone, it won't work with this. It works fine with power banks or USB ports on power strips. You can also use 6 AA batteries if you want to for some reason. Just use a power strip or a power bank instead of sticking AAs in there, forgetting about them, and then finding that they leaked all over it after you forgot about it for a year.
