Fits my old car's CARB-approved cold air intake just right. There is very little clearance between the intake and the mass air-flow sensor, but this filter is constructed with a small enough outer diameter that it can fit.

Bought as a replacement filter on a racing beat intake for a '95 miata. Yeah you can probably clean it, but that thing was black and gooey, I was not about to put that in my sink. Plus, I am a high-paid executive in a New York City ad department in 1958 -- my time is money, so I just bought the replacement.

Ordered as the replacement filter on my '90 Miata cold air intake. My previous filter was about 1/2 inch shorter which fit the installation perfectly - this filter, although the one sold with the Racing Beat CAI fit a little too snuggly against the pop up headlight manual operator. Very nice filter, wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
