I've used knipex for years and nothing beats the durability and cutting power. I'm a industrial Insulator, and these are the multi-tool of the field. Cutting, pulling, snipping, wire twising, etc.

I use to pull nails, but also to cut wires. The edge stays sharp, the jaws have remained true, and as compact as this is, was even to get nails out in trim installed deep into corners.

I use this tool constantly at work & this is by far the best brand. Super high quality. Super sharp- stays sharp too…forever if not abused.Actually, it stays pretty sharp when you abuse it even! This is my second pair of these. The first pair held up to near daily use for about 20 years. I don't use them for their intended use, generally, but they are great for removing narrow crown staples and nails that you can't get your flat bar or the nail puller on your hammer under. They will cut right through a wire or a nail, so you need to moderate the pressure when pulling staples or nails. Not sure what I would do without a pair of these in my tool bag.

The nippers are double beveled. If you need nippers which cut a wire even with a floor or which will remove staples and nails heads that barely protrude from the surface, you will have to do some grinding to get that degree of precision. Otherwise, it is perfect for 95% of what most people use these for.

The chamfer can make nail grabbing a challenge at times, but it works excellent when it gets a grip. I'm not sure how it will hold up for nail cutting but it's knipex so it should last for years.

I bought these Knipex cutters to cut off the ends of staples from second hand flooring, used to fasten tongue and groove flooring down. They work great and with extra long handles, makes the task much easier for better production.

Excellent nips. If you have to cut wire thats thicker on a regular basis id advise getting then knipex model with the longer handle.
