Knit Picks Mosaic Options Short Interchangeable Knitting Needle Set

Featuring the smooth joins, perfectly tapered tips and flexible cables common to all Options needles, this set includes 7 of our bestselling needle tips and 2 cables to create a 16" circular knitting needle - all of which are stored in a handy vinyl case. Two small cable keys are included, which allow you to tighten your needle tips to the cables. The cable connector can be used to attach two cables together into an extra long cord. I love these needles! They are very well made and the perfect size for knitting small projects such as baby sweaters. The wooden needles feel comfortable in my hands and being able to interchange the sizes or the loops is so handy. Once tightened they don’t loosen off. Great design!

Absolutely perfect! I love the length. Comes in a sturdy plastic case with a button close. When you use the key to lock the wires in place, they do not get loose. Good quality. One of my favorite products.

I have loved Knit Picks needles since I first started knitting about twenty years ago. They were the most affordable "good" needles. They are beautiful and dependable. I always know what I'm getting. It's not relevant to this purchase, but once I had a changeable circular that came apart. Customer service immediately sent a new one when I called. No fuss. No drama.

I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to work with such short needles. They are very smooth and have a nice point on them. They are quite pretty and come in a nice compartmentalized package. I'm not overly fond of the cords that come with them. Luckily the Lantern Moon cords fit them. The first set I ordered I had to return - two of them had defects but I received within two days a replacement set. Such good service! I am pleased with my purchase overall.

These are my first set of interchangeables and I’m so glad I got them! Didn’t realise they were square instead of round needles and the short tips took a bit of getting used to but they are by far the most comfortable needles I’ve used (although since I used to use cheap bamboo circulars, there’s no comparison really). Makes knitting more efficient and definitely feeling less strain on my wrists. I mainly knit hats (worsted/aran weight) and they are a great set for this. My only slight complaint is the cable could be a bit longer (didn’t realise 16” was from needle tip to needle tip) but I’ve ordered a 20” knit picks cable and that should solve my issue easily.

This set was a gift for Christmas from my Hubby. It had been on my wish list for a couple of years, and Hubby finally got it this year. When I put it on my list, the set was about $45, but by the time Hubby got it, the set was nearly $55! Ouch.The wood is so smooth, but not as slippery as metal needles, fortunately. The squared needles are my favorite style to work with. The joins are smooth, and the cords are flexible. Two cords and four caps are in the set, along with two keys and one extender. There are 6 pairs of needle tips, US size 4 to US size 10, which is why I gave the set only 4 stars instead of 5.For $55, only 6 pairs of needle tips? I have hat patterns that call for US size 11 and size 13 needles, but the set doesn't go past 10. So I was a bit disappointed at the small range of the set, but did not let Hubby know, of course.Other than the lack of larger and smaller needle tips, this is a great set of needles for knitting hats. I do not know how to knit socks, so I don't know if one could knit socks with this set.If you like to knit hats, this is definitely a worthwhile set to have in your knitting tools stash. It is 4 days past Christmas, and I already have a hat on my new needles!

I have other Knit Picks interchangeables so I'm not surprised at the quality. They're great needles! Other "short" tips for 16" circulars are just barely short enough to knit with. The Caspians are shorter than other short tips, so they're easier to work with. The wood is beautiful shades of green--not so gaudy as to distract they eye or to make it hard to see the stitches, just colorful enough to be pleasing. They have the typical Knit Picks threaded findings, and soft, flexible, low-memory cables. If you're not familiar with Knit Picks interchangeables, you should try them. If you are, the Caspians are a great addition to your equipment.
