Though many Kohler components are plastic, this is made of metal and very stylish. It has blue and black dots to designate cold to warm. Requires an additional Kohler Rite temp valve.

It's been installed for several months and sees very regular use, still looks good, works well, doesn't get water stains or spots on the finish.

Went on easily and works great so far. I remodeled my bathroom and hand to contact Kohler whenever I had a question and they responded back within (they say 3 business days) a reasonable time if I could not speak to someone via phone then response was by email. So expect project to be in limbo if you wait on in the customer phone queue. But truly you should always contact them first before purchase to make buying and understanding what work well together when comes to faucet and valve control products. I suggest going online to setup a account with Kohler wherever you plan buy their products for DIY project. Return process is breeze. No hassle.
